One of the many kitties we found a home for rather than let them be put to sleep by animal control just because they already had too many cats. That is so wrong in my opinion! Smokey went to a great home where he’s been spoiled rotton & loved very much by a wonderful family.

A Couple of years ago the smokey the bear met with an altercation with one of the radio towers here in Albuquerque, although the balloon sustained sufficient damage the occupants were spared a disasterous ending, The youth and the pilot were able to leave the balloon and climb down better than 200 feet to the ground. They call Ballooning an adventure sport, It’s not my story, Thank Goodness ! Balloon Fiesta is experiencing some foul weather thus far 2009, the kind that dampens the spirit ! of course my scheduled timming is off ! as witnessed Smokey the Bear has been brought back and flies again ! Camera Olympus E-500 with up to 150 mm lense Albuquerque, New Mexico USA 2007.
