This is a shot from my favorite valley in the Slovakian Tatra mountains call Vel’ka Studena Dolina. The name literally translates to Big Cold Valley and it was just that while I was visiting. A very frosty morning watching the sunlight move across the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia

Another sunrise at one of my favourite high alpine lakes in the Tatra Mountains. It was near the summer solstice so sunrise was around 4am meaning a wake up call of around 3:00. Not that I never complained about getting up early to see this earth at her best but walking up at 4:30 to catch an Uluru sunrise will be that much easier.

The name literally translates to the Little Cold Valley and that it was at 0 degrees according to my thermometer. It was easy to stay away from the vibrancy and saturation when you start out with this much color filling the valley. The sun was in and out of the clouds for a few minutes and then it just opened up to this. I really loved the long European sunset and the purple hues that would come to life the closer it got to the horizon.
