Ist of a series of photos of a road in the peak district that over the years has slipped away and is no longer usable, huge cracks are all over, you can still see the white lines down what was the middle of the road. It is the road from Castleton that runs up below the shivering mountain (mam Tor) to the top of Winnats Pass, it has now been many years since any traffic passed on here.

From this point of view…she looks like she’s falling in. In reality she is actually lowering herself to the next set of rocks. No worries:)....but I thought it made for an interesting shot.

The slip bridge in Swansea was originally a meeting place for many people, whether they wanted a stroll along the beach, or a look around the market that was there. The trams stopped there, as well as the Mumbles Railway. It was a place to see and be seen. However, due to pollution of the beach and the sea from sewerage it fell into disrepair and disuse. In 2005, the top of the bridge was removed for structural and safety reasons. It was then put onto the cycle path along the seafront of Swansea Bay as an attraction. There is much anger against this and many local residents continue to protest for the renovation and replacement of the bridge to bring it back to its former glory.

I went out to the desert yesterday with some friends… ...just trying something new. This was taken half way up one of the large sand dunes that we stupidly decided to climb… well, not even half way. Anyway, at this point, little James decided it would be more fun to slide all the way down again! Red Sands, 45 minutes west of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia / December 10th, 2008

This was along the road to the small township of Glenreagh..about 20km west of here…after so much rain lately and one of the biggest floods in the area for over 70 years…these big sandstone rocks could’nt hold ground any longer!!! taking out gumtrees on the way down…

How does that saying go again?? Slip into a seat, Slop on some sunscreen, and Slap a shirt on your head??? I was walking along the foreshore at Manly beach where I came across this couple, sitting and watching the waves. I was amused to see the man with his shirt rolled up in a ball, atop his balding head to prevent sunburn. You’d think that maybe a hat would do the trick? 5/16/08 / it was in the 90’s in the city – it was so hot, record highs. Here in Dolores Park, adults had set up a slip and slide to stay cool. We were visiting friends who live in the city. This is a drive by shot – we were amazed at how many people where here in the park. These shots here don’t show everyone. =)
