  • A little common brown garden snail on a Euphorbia bract, taken in my garden in Buckinghanshire, England.

  • Tamu’s tongue, the longest in the herd at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Reticulated Giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata), also known as a Somali Giraffe, is the most well-known species of giraffe and can also interbreed with other species of giraffes if necessary. Males can be up to 19 feet tall, and females just slightly smaller. Both sexes have small ‘horns’, called ossicones, on the top of their head. Only the females have tufts of hair on top though, males are bald.

  • For some reason my little two year old girly girl, Mila, is passionate about snails… could be the influence of her older wiser brother, Hudson, I suppose.
