  • I actually put this shot together for a subject-based comp at my local club earlier this year – eggs obviously :-)

  • My attention was drawn to this little drama. There was a sharp exchange of words between these two gentlemen. The one on the left seemed quite abashed – seemed to be getting a teeling-off for some sin of omission or commission.Even at that date, around 1967 their headgear seemed old-fashioned.

There is trouble in paradise. We have a problem with Xavier, and, surprisingly it has nothing to do with his hair, but with the phenomenal speed with which he devours biscuits. We’ve all had to take a pay cut just to keep the kitchen stocked. It’s getting ri-dic-u-lous. So we took his biscuits away, and see how sad he looks: However we couldn’t stand to look at his sorrow for too long, so we struck a deal with him, he could once again dive face first into a box of Arnott’s best, if he managed to design a new RedBubble logo by the end of the week. That’s right folks, a new logo. Which we’ll host on the site. But don’t worry, we know it’ll be crap, so we probably won’t use it for long, but we’ll all feel better about owing our landlords rent if we know he has had to make an effort to earn his sugar rush. Please feel free to mock or encourage him below as you see fit. And if you really feel sorry for him you can send some Arnott’s Kingstons or Mint Slices to the following address: Mr Xavier Archibald Fotherington Shay / Unit 2/192 Argyle Street / Fitzroy / VIC 3065 / Oztrayleea Thank you for your time. • Backlit lime slice macro / Nikon D300, Sigma 105mm macro

  • Going through a low point in the “imaginative perception” of art, the world seems to look inside itself and find nothing to love… to then, look outside and find nobody worth the time… at which time, looking back in, here’s this train to Spain, and France, and Alps, and Melbourne, Tokyo, North Pole, San Fran and other imaginary realities of our desires, all cut in bite slices for the ease of mind… Mind blowing this abstract world. And yet, we keep trying to make sense out of the no-sense-at-the-first-glance holographic reality. Written today, 7 September, 2009, with the clear purpose of confusing further the left side of the brain. / Confucius was quoted here today for the first time to have said: Confusion is good when it leads to nowhere… but heart. Now, for those who reached this point of my writing, here’s a bit of musical reward for the pain of reading all above. / Oh Carlos, your heart is on your sleeve and the sleeve rubs so beautifully against my heart. Not your taste? Sorry, this one doesn’t come unsalted. —-
