2124 views 8/12/09 Lolly is the sweetest munchkin, I love her to death! Although I am really, really going to miss my cousin and her gorgie daughter when they move to Macau my compensation is the addition to my family of this little girl. It’s a bit tricky now having a Tolly and a Lolly! When I growl at Lolly for jumping all over the elderly Tolly, Tolly often gives me this kind of “what did I do?” look! But Lolly was named by the afore-mentioned gorgie daughter of my cousin who is 3 years old so there it is.
This one could be sleeping. Or dead. Visit me on facebook: /
I just love this photo. It has memories of travelling home after Christmas lunch many years ago. Four very boisterous and loud kids (My twin boys and their cousins) fell asleep. I love it and thought I would share it. A larger version is available as a print
It’s so hot in Adelaide today I decided to take some time off to play with the cat….

Meet this ethereal underwater maiden with sweet little fish darting in and out of her platinum blonde hair. The original was created with pencil, pastel and ink on lovely flecked recycled card.
A friend got a sweet kitten and it fell asleep in my lap. This is my favorite picture of all the pictures I took of the kitten that day. Her name is Sheba.
luckily no one was hurt during this production
after goya’s sleep of reason, i did a personal version.
My kitty, Aurora after a “whirlwind” play session of about 10 minutes NONSTOP….completely exhusted laying on the hallway floor! This was such a CUTE picture…I just had to grab my camera, and hope she didn’t move when she saw me! Aurora is a rescued kitty. She use to live in a garage of a very kind animal lover who kept feeding her and sheltering her until she could find a good home…Thank you, Mary for taking care of her before I took her home! / ____ Featured in Clubs: / Hall of Fame for Animal Artists – Nov. 2009 / Dogs and Cats / Playful Photographic Pets / Tabby Time – 3 per day Wins in the following Groups & Challenges: / Domestic and Pedigree Cats – “You Very Best Image” – Top 10 (#4) – Dec. 2009 / Cats & Dogs (1 per day) – “Happy Anniversary Cats & Dogs Members!” – Top 10 (#6) – Nov. 2009 / Playful Photogenic Animals – “Featured #1” – Top 10 (#9) Oct. 2009 / Domestic and Pedigree Cats – “Your Favorite” – Top 10 (#4) Oct. 2009 / Domestic and Pedigree Cats – “Cats with Natural Blue Eyes” – Challenge Winner (#1) Sept 2009 / Cats and Dogs (1 artwork per day) – “Tabby Cats” – Top 10 (#2) Aug. 2009 / Paws and Claws (3 per day) – 3 or more Features, Dogs and Cats only!!!!!! – Top 10 (#7) July 2009 / Playful Photogenic Pets – Indoor Pets – Top 10 (#4) June 2009 / Paws and Claws (3 per day) – “Rescued and Adopted Cats” – Top 10 (#4) June 2009 / Eye Contact – “Cats Eye” – Top 10 (#4) June 2009 / Paws n Claws – 2 or more Features, “Cats and Dogs only!” – Top 10 (#4) / Cats and Dogs(1 per day) – “Exhusted Cats” – Top 10 (#9) / The Woman Photographer – “Your Pet” – Top 10 (#8) / The Woman Photographer – “Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty” – Top 10 (#3) / Cats and Dogs (1 per day) – “Cats & Dogs – Your Favorite” – Top 10 (#6) / The Beginner’s Corner – Favorite Pet Challenge” – Top 10 (#1) / Domestic and Pedigree Cats – June Avater _ Top 10 (#1) / All Pets Great and Small – “Cats Only (Main Focus) – Top 10 (#1)

Age 22. 2009. To some, the boy knew, it may have been a small departure from a lovable feline, but to him, Morris’ death was heartbreaking. There had been many times in the past where the boy had hurried home and hid away in his bedroom, hoping desperately to be forgotten by the world. He had wept in the isolated darkness, crying out his pain, yet Morris had always comforted him; lying there lovingly without judgmental eyes. Morris was always there offering his console by silently listening to every last word. With a tear in his eye the boy could remember what it felt like to cradle his arms around the little one, feeling his cushion-like fur on his skin. The boy knew he would one day be with him again, but for now, he could only hope he would see him in his dreams - Drawn on white bristol board. 2H, 3B pencil, biro pen, water colours and digital paint. Please view a portrait of Morris by clicking below. Sleepy Beauty Many thanks

featured in Globes,Spheres&Curves 10-28-2009 / featured in SOLO-EXHIBITION 10-19-2009 An exquisite flower opens, in I Belong to You by Desirée Glanville, to reveal a / huge silvery perl– certainly a priceless treasure. Its antithesis, a gazing ball, / popular in Victorian and modern gardens, is suspended above it. Perhaps / hinting at the subliminal message, the gazing ball mirrors a very real world with tree, water, and sky; / rather than the ideal fantasy that we see before us. / Tiny remnants of petals float in the blue, luminous atmosphere. Desirée has repeated their skeletal / veins in the lower petals of the central flower; so that we know the air is filled with petals pulled from / the larger one. Was this a “He Loves me, he loves me not” scenario—a child’s game with Daisies that / gets replayed in various intonations when we are adults? The video accompanying the piece is a track, “I Belong to You”, from British alternative rock band, / Muse, from their album, The Resistance, released in Europe mid September 2009. / Remembering that the ultimate key to unlock the mystery of Glanville’s art is in the paired music, / it’s of importance that the song and lyrics regard one who travels half the world to tell their muse “I / Belong to You”. / Mid-song, from this British band, are French verses, sung with such emotion to melt the soul. / They are borrowed from Camille Saint-Saëns’ opera, “Samson and Delilah”. / Delilah sings these verses to seduce Samson, in a famous aria in Act II, “Mon coeur s’ouvre ta / voix” (“My heart opens itself to your voice”, or commonly “Softly awakes my heart”). / Ah! réponds à ma tendresse! / Verse-moi, verse-moi l’ivresse! / translated: / Ah! respond to my tenderness! / Fill me with ecstasy! / It’s uncertain, here, whether Desirée is presenting the side of the muse as a reaction to the / overtures, or the perspective of the one presenting overtures of tenderness to their heart’s desire. / It could be either or both, probably determined by the perspective of the viewer. / This is where fine art brings the viewer in as co-artist, to complete the work. Desirée seems to me / to have accomplished that spiritual merger here. / Either way, Desirée has input in the matter. Remember the gazing ball in the garden. It never lies. / Despite our fantasy and what we want things to be, there is also reality to deal with. * featured in* SOLO EXHIBITION 19-25 Oct 2009 / featured in I Got the Music in Me 10-12-2009 / featured in Abstract Digital Art&Writing 10-05-2009 / featured in The World as We See it 10-04-2009 When these pillars get pulled down, / It will be you who wears the crown, / And I’ll owe everything to you How much pain has cracked your soul? / How much love could make you whole? / You’re my guiding lightning strike I can’t find the words to say, / But they’re overdue, / I’ve travelled half the world to say, / I belong to you Then she attacks me like a Leo, / When my heart is split like Rio, / But, I assure you my debts are real I can’t find the words to say, / When I’m confused, / I’ve travelled half the world to say, / You are my mu- (Ah! Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 10-20 lens at 16mm, F11, shutter speed 1/13 second, ISO100, processed in Photoshop I took a trip out to Settle in the Yorkshire Dales with redbubble superstar and great mate Jason Connolly yesterday. We set off on our walk well before dawn, the blanket of snow on the ground lit the way wonderfully. This is a shot I took early in the walk which shows a view of the Settle before sunrise. You can see our early morning footprints on the right of the shot. Please view large
