I drew this pinup a couple of years back for a popular Aussie comic called ‘Billy: Demon Slayer’. It’s creator Hayden Fryer, kindly gave me permission to sell it as prints and posters here on the Bubble. While you’re at it, be sure to check out Hayden’s website- / www.billydemonslayer.com
There seemed to be a lack of dragons in my portfolio so heres one, more following.
This one is for all those who have suffered wrongs under the talons of the human beasts of this world. If their flesh were pulled back--it would reveal the one who is behind it all. The Bible calls Satan the Great Red Dragon, and so do I. / I have considered myself a Dragon Slayer for the last 30 years now-and there are more dragons now-than ever before. Around my neck I wear a warning to all those who would violate the innocent-I hope I catch you—one fine day you will know what being preyed upon feels like. May you be found out. I created this piece as a renewed stand against the enemies of all things sacred and holy. I have stood beside too many flower draped boxes bearing the mortal remains of those I loved; and heard far too many of the cries of precious and lovely damaged ladies, youth, and children. Rise up oh men of God, and stand with me to protect the innocent. / A Dragon Slayer, / Dale Crum

I sought to capture the essence of Who I am--Where I’ve been—and What lies ahead of me. I have created hundreds of pieces in my DRAGON SLAYER DESIGNS series, this is a sampler of things to come.
When Papaw Crum heard the chickens fussin’--he sent little Dale out to the barn to feed them-on that foggy spring night of 1965-he had no idea what a life changing event would ensue. It seemed like any other misty April evening really-but for that strange green “lightning” just after sunset. Little Dale tried to weasel out of tending to the screeching fowl-one more time-on account of his serious fear-of one mean-ass rooster named Cogburn. He lost the argument-again—paused-reached down and rubbed the scabbed over flog marks on his right calf in remembrance-as he took up the bucket of table scraps of stale biscuits, and some dried out old cornbread fritters. / It was one strange looking sky out there-sort of a purplish looking full moon-like the young boy had never seen before. About the time he made it past those giant creepy holly bushes just this side of the barn-you know the ones that’ll bite ya-he started seeing the feathers-everywhere-they made a clear trail straight for the wide-open barn door in front of him-That’s when he noticed the dead silence. He wanted to do an about face-but he knew how much grief that would cost him-from his big brother Ricky-so he took a few steps closer and then-he heard this clickidy sound-and froze in his tracks. He tilted his head back to one side-so his floppy hat wouldn’t interfere with his hearing-and that’s when that sickly green light hit him in the face. Well-I’m not suppose to talk about what happened next-and besides-a pinky promise-is as good as gold where I come from. But-let me just suffice it to say-Little Dale-became a much Bigger Dale that green foggy night-and a Dragon Slayer was born right underneath that floppy hat-oh—and thank God for Papaw’s old rusty machete sticking out of that chopping stump!
The calendar of man--has rolled over again / Drunk hands clapping-charred wings flapping / For the wars of Hell heed naught-the year it be / What fleshly hearts-by wrenching can be fallen? / Upon torched faces-down, and down to the depths / What soldiers be left?-what warrior-men be among them still? / For the gates of torment-swing open freely now / Mocking the cross-jeering the church to scorn / Be there any among thee-to take up thy sword? / Rampage loosed upon the blinded eyes of souls / Feasting gluttonous fools of voracious consumption / Greedily stealing away-till empty be this place / Desolate of love-deprived of hope-infertile / Scorched earth-raped of life—but I say NO! / I say FIGHT! I SAY STAND WITH ME! / TAKE UP THY SWORD AND SURRENDER NOT! / BATTLE TILL HELL CONSUME US ALTOGETHER! BUT BATTLE WE MUST!!! Another 2009 Self Portrait--you want intense?-here it is-this is many layers of my own photos-and tons of hand drawn art in Painter X

The Dragon Slayer became friends with his one time foe – Spartacus, the Bearded Dragon. Top ten of my favorite dragon challege.
The cheese man may haunt your dreams with his slices of processed cheese and his curious attachment to them. Or he may not. Inspired by the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer season four “Restless” as written and directed by the guru that is Joss Whedon. And the actor David Wells, who put in such a sterling performance.
