Location: Rancho Cordova California / Technique: HDR, Layering & Fractalized / Workflow: HDRd in Matix – Layered in Cs4 – Fractalized / Equip: Canon 5D OG A wee bit late and a couple too many drinks while editing this image. Actually scrolled down most of the color palette and basically did a “eeni meeni miny mo” to select a color (#3c240a) and worked off the selection, hence a very busy & cluttered image. Im thinking this is not gonna stay on the bubble very long. but this image did put a smile on my face because when folks say Dont Drink & Drive, It should also apply to Photographers Dont Drink & Edit!!! I was waiting for our flight back to California with my wife and kids when this monster came upon us somewhere around 45 mph, blasting lightning all over the place and making quite the scene. This has been one of my favorite vehicles produced by Volkswagen. As a kid I remember an Oakland Raider player by the name of Ben Davidson #83. He lived in Pleasanton, CA and this was the vehicle he use to drive. He said it was the only vehicle he could comfortably fit in. / As a kid I remember how huge he was. On the field he was a monster, off the field he was a kind and gentle man. I remember my dad coming home with an autographed picture of him and how that just made my day. And to this day I still have that in my collection. / Thank you for looking at my new work.

TEAM SLAM / RULES OF ENGAGEMENT / Alcohol. Surfing under the influence is not a good idea but is not / frowned upon within TEAM SLAM. However it is recommended that / ones saves the drinking for the after surf bragging session at / your local, telling everyone just how many barrels you got earlier.

TEAM SLAM / RULES OF ENGAGEMENT / Respect. Respect the locals if you are visiting a beach. / Remember that you are a guest and that waves should be shared. / This also includes respect for the local fauna in the area you are surfing in.

TEAM SLAM / RULES OF ENGAGEMENT / Rips. If you are caught in a rip remember that it’s called R.I.P. for a reason and you will probably not / make it back to dry land ever again. Although hopefully you already know that a rip is a strong current / that (normally) goes straight out to sea and if caught in one that you should not panic and paddle across / the rip (not against it) until you have escaped.
