Greetings Fellow Bubbling Mates!! / No I have not been in a far off land, or swallowed by a whale, or doing anything that requires a hell of a lot of brain power….just socialising and doing a little work here and there to end the year on….... / I have quite OBVIOUSLY been quite SLACK of late with comments, love and opinions (“Phew!” say a whole bunch of people….) / So I’ve just dropped in to say in the new year I will have my nose to the grindstone and you should start seeing my face again a lot more regularly….... / The works that I keep seeing getting uploaded every week are just getting better and better, and frankly more intimidating!! Yes, I may have said this before, but we are now receiving some damn fine work on the bubble….which in turn is keeping a hell of a lot of us on our toes and quite a few of us wondering what the hell we can do next to compete with such talent…..It’s a hard life I tell ya ;) / Love you All, See you more soon. / Bel xxx

Hey Everyone, Firstly sorry to my watchers, I’ve been trying to help sort out the current activity monitor bug, so I’m sorry if I’ve spammed you a little. / I also need to say I’ve been slack and haven’t given you an Egypt update, but one is coming, hopefully this weekend! In other news I was featured in an interview with Eyal / from the Middle East Art But I failed to acknowledge my wife and her infinite patience, so let me do that now, Katie is great she puts up with photography adventures, modelling when she hates being in front of the camera, and some very long waits for the “perfect light”. So please check out the interview here And to wet your whistle a little here are a few more Egypt images, plenty more to come. Stone Tablet / Saqqara, the Step Pyramid / Signs on the Beach / GiZ Tra Fic / / Windswept / / Let me know if you think any of these are Redbubble portfolio worthy, so far I think not.

Has anyone else joined too many groups and now finds it too difficult to remember what they’re all about? Ironically I now enter less work into groups than I did before because I have joined so many that it seems too hard to figure out what their rules are- some are very specific! So now in fear of rejection I just don’t bother with the ones that I’m not sure about. I mean my understanding of words like “visual texture” and “nostalgic” are obviously not the same as someone else’s, which is fine and perfectly natural, but none the less, confusing! Of course if I wasn’t so slack I’d just unjoin them! O.K., I will! / That’ll be my New Year’s Resolution (something I don’t really believe in- but, hey, I’m also inconsistent). / This year I resolve to reduce my group membership to those that I really and truly know I understand the rules of… and while I’m at it, I’ll reduce my pages of work too- the old ones are boring now. / Happy New Year! ( I don’t really get started until February)

Hello Bubblers….. / Just a quick note to those I’ve bought tees from in the last few months….. / Firstly, yes, I really DID buy from you if I said I did…..I have just been SOOOO slack at taking sum self pix and posting them in Buyers Booth. This requires much effort in trying to look at least half awake and interested at the same time…... / So this is a quick note to say that they WILL STILL be posted…but when I can pull my finger out….. / Bel x

  • Yummy Mash Recipe For Slack Cooks

I like food, right, no: I love food. I like things to taste good and to be relatively healthy but I am slack. So if you are the same here we go… This recipe is mashed potato and peas and yummy. It takes 5-10 mins. It is for one serving as I live alone. Ingredients: / 200g Coles Frozen Mashed Potato With Herbs / 50-60g frozen peas or frozen baby peas (Australian) / 1 tsp Extra Virgin olive oil (Australian) / Salt / Dried Oregano or dried Sage / half a clove of garlic / 50ml of stock (Vegeta is the best) 1. Heat (low) half a tsp of the oil, salt / 2. Squash the garlic with the side of the knife and chop finely / 3. Garlic into the pan, mix and do not let it brown to much if at all as garlic gets bitter when browned. The salt draws out the moisture which slows the browning. / 4. Add dried herbs. / 5. Once the garlic is cooked (gets translucent or starts to brown) put in the stock and turn up the heat to medium. / 6. Put the potato in the pan and cover. / 7. Put the peas, some salt and half a tsp of oil into a glass microwave dish, stir and cook. I do 2 mins. at 100% (650w). / 8. Give the potatoes a stir. / 9. When the peas have finished check the potatoes have melted, stir and put in a preheated bowl. Pour the peas and oil into the bowl and stir. / Voila! Enjoy.
