  • This is one of my silver award winning prints from the 07 AIPP State awards. / I spent the week up in Surfer’s on the Gold coast – Hence no updates or nice comments for people. This is just one of the hundreds of photos i came up with – a simple pan of some of the hi-rise apartments. / The big pointy bugger is the Q1 building – the tallest residential building in the world.

  • My favourite spot on the way to work…. What you see is what you get. No enhancements.

  • Every morning I go in to work and take the same route, that is, walk from the bus stop, go up the same flight of stairs and walk down the same hallway to get to my office. And every morning from that hallway window, I see this very building and pretty much every day (unless it’s a pretty grim day or raining) I think about how pretty the reflections of the clouds and sun really look (is it obvious yet that very simple things make me happy?). So it is pretty obvious that this would eventually make it as one of my photos. Needless to say that I have adjusted the contrast levels to make it a little more dramatic but bottom line, it’s just a picture of the building across the street …

  • Skyscraper in New York City. Had some fun with the title on this one, I felt it was fitting. / Jan 2009 / Nikon D80 w/24-120mm VR Featured / Jan 22, 2009 Group – Experimental Photography and Editing / Jan 31- Feb**, 2009 Group – Nikon D80 Users

  • Overlooking Pittsburgh Pa on a clear April night from Mount Washington / Nikon D-80 18/-135mm lens 2 shot hdr tonemapped in photomatrix Retouched in 10/09 changed watermark

  • A work inspired by a photo by Denis Dalby of the same name. I’d had this idea for a while.. but Denis’s excellent image was the catalyst for this series including the “Stop” landscapes. Unlike the “Stop” pictures there is very little of Denis’s image left here.. but this way of working directly relates to Denis’s image. I like to co-operate with others.. and give credit for my sources. I must admit I personally like this work and feel there are lots of possibilities here for future works but I wasn’t at all sure how it would be received.. I’ve probably had more responses on this work in the first 24 hrs than I any I can remember ! Thanks.. much appreciated.

  • Towering Beauty against the dark New York skies.

  • The iconic Brisbane Story bridge. Need I say more?

  • Santiago, capital city of Chile. This is the view from the top of the look out at St Lucia Park. The building that leads the climb to the top is seen in World Forgotten. There is nothing like being in a city and being able to see snow capped mountain tops in the near distance. (45 bus ride takes you to the Andes Mountains). As incredible a place as Santiago is, the city has unfortunately been built in a valley, which has trapped the smog and pollution over the years. The view of the Andes, as seen here, is slowly being obliterated by the smokey sky. After speaking with a few locals, they are predicting only 10 – 20 years until the view is faded away to smog totally. It will be a sad day indeed, when the Andes can’t be seen at such a short distance. Featured in Earth Keepers / Featured in Cityscapes & City Skylines / Featured in Anticonsumerism Tweaking of levels and curves, increase of lightness and adding of a texture layer from www.deviantart.com free use stock. I wanted to accentuate the dirty polluted feel to this one. All editing done 10pm Canon SX100IS MCN: CP9BU-WNCHA-N8JFX More of South America:
