My affair with the sea has started :) Just a few days back, I was on a day trip to coastal area to see migrated birds. On the evening before we were about to retun, I had opportunity to shoot sunset. Well, I don’t have ND filter lined up but hope you’ll still enjoy the mood. Equipment : Canon EOS 400D
Thank you viewing my friends and I hope it shines in your eyes! So the clouds are the noun in this piece for the alphabet group letter “C” ! Experimenting with clouds! :) /
This was actually in a set of 4 images. The others are titled “To Set the Sky on Fire” and “Raising Rays”, and were taken minutes apart from the others. / They were taken about 8 to 10 minutes apart, and were taken from Wooling Hill at New Gisborne in the Macedon Ranges on Feb 27th 2009. Another warm night with an incredible sunset. / Needless to say, the fires are still burning. / All monies raised from the sale of this image will go to the RB Phoenix Bushfire Appeal. / ( hdr x3 using PhotoImpact 12 & Dynamic-Photo HDR ) ============================ ====================

This is another image shot with Hoya NDX400 filter. I am finally getting a hold on that filter. I bought it back in December last year but didn’t get to use it until recently I read an article about what you can do with it. Since it allows to stop down the shutter speed 10 stop on non-digital cameras, it is 20 or more stop on a digital. At least what I understand about it. This picture was taken 2 days ago at Long Reef beach, Sydney, Northern Beaches area. I didn’t have time to wait until sunset, but clouds were great and fast moving, and I think I was able to capture that movement. / Thank you for looking!
