Bright summer days are now over… / Green leaves will all soon be gone… / Fresh landscapes are turning golden… / Like solid rays of the sun… / Lingering trees in the distance… / Filling my heart to the most… / My life will turn in the meantime… / Into an unsubstantial ghost…. Unknown
I love the Big Apple and I love music. My last visit to New York inspired me to create this illustration.

Illustration -> Water media (watercolour, acrylic). Schoellershammer N 10 / Watercolour paper made from ‘Spanish grass’ pulp / 300g/m2. Olive was in one of those funny dreams I have. She is a brave warrior, she just wanted to bring peace to the world. She kidnapped the dove symbolising Peace. / Olive came and stop the wars; as a giant girl she walked the globe in 2 hours and fought all the killing machines by squeezing them. After all, Olive is a corageous peacemaker. I liked her a lot. A white dove with an olive branch is the symbol of peace for part of the humanity.

Sutton Bank is a high vantage point at the very edge of the Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors with extensive views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray. Because of its location and high elevation, Sutton Bank is popular with gliding and flying enthusiasts. Predominant landmarks include Whitestone Cliff and Roulston Scar, the former overlooking the mysterious (and reputedly bottomless !) Lake Gormire. Close nearby are the villages of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliff, and Kilburn (famous for the White Horse of Kilburn, and Robert Thompson – the “Mouseman” of Kilburn). / Sutton Bank is one of the most spectacular inland cliffs anywhere in Britain, and carries one of the most hair-raising main roads in the country. The near vertical drop from top to bottom is around 140 metres, and crosses at least two major geological boundaries. / The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is on the western edge of the fabulous North York Moors National Park – home to the largest expanse of heather moorland in England. It provides the perfect introduction to the National Park, its people, history and wildlife. Nikon D60 / HDR in Photomatix & pp in PS CS3 / Lens: Nikkor 18-200mm / 1/160 f/9.0 ISO200
The Hole of Horcum is a section of the valley of the Levisham Beck in the North York Moors of northern England, upstream of Levisham and Lockton. The Hole of Horcum is a vast, 400ft deep natural hollow measuring ¾ of a mile across. It has been naturally eroded over thousands of years by the action of springs, though a more romantic legend tells us that it was created when a giant named Wade, who was in fact a Saxon chief, grabbed a ‘handful’ of earth to throw at his wife, Bell – the soil missed its target and landed to form the 800ft high hill of Blakey Topping which lies about a mile to the east. Levisham Estate, UK Levisham Estate is owned and managed by the North York Moors National Park Authority. Almost the entire area has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and therefore provides a huge resource of wildlife and a wide range of habitats.
