On another visit to Windy Harbour, in the deep southwest of Western Australia, the conditions were totally different and I was able to get this shot of a gorgeous Southern Ocean wave as it was about to break. I have to say that the rocks were not really as tall as they appear – my Sony DSC R1 camera has a swivel viewfinder which enables me to shoot at waist level much as we did back in the days of the old twin lens reflex cameras (I had a Rollieflex) So for this shot I got quite low down and rather like the effect. All of this area of our coast is absolute paradise for the keen photographer who has the time to wander around and pick his/her viewpoints and angles. / When I got home I cropped it, cloned out a couple of distracting clumps of sea weed and adjusted the levels slightly. Other than that it is as taken.
