  • ©Seth F.Weaver,Sr. 03/06/08. A DigiMix™ work. The sky is ablaze at twilight in the far frozen North as the Aurora Borealis begins to paint the sky, with reds, oranges, and yellows. Ice encrusted trees and mountain stand solemnly in winters frozen grip simple spectators to a colorful phenomenon. This picture makes me cold to look at it. Thanks for looking Seth.

  • This picture was taken in Jbeil, Lebanon less then a year after Lebanon War 2006 . During this war most of Lebanese shores were polluted. It will take about 3 years before it is safe to swim again in the sea. Quoted form american.edu / “Sea Pollution: The most well-known and one of the most serious cases of the environmental damage caused by the Israel-Lebanon conflict is the massive oil spill that resulted from the Israeli bombing of the fuel tanks at the Jiyyeh power plant in Lebanon. It is estimated that between 10,000 and 35,000 metric tons of oil have spilled into the sea (“Oil Spill”). The spill affected an estimated 150 kilometers of Lebanese coastline, including beaches, ports and marinas. While most of the oil released burned out or spilled into the sea, it is estimated that significant amounts also seeped in the rock underneath that has potential to contaminate groundwater wells in the area (UNEP 45)” Location: Jbeil Lebanon ref: 2007-05-26_EOS 30D_101-1535_1539 —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / © Antoine Khater 2008. • This was taken at Toledo Bend Lake in Louisiana. I love the reflections in the water of the string of docks along the shoreline and the silhouettes of the fishermen who are still casting as the last rays of light illumine their way.

  • This is the BP bridge in Millennium Park. Millenium Park is in downtown Chicago. It was designed by the artist Frank Gehry. This bridge is 925-feet long and winds and turns like a snake. This is Frank Gehry’s first bridge. It allows you to view the Chicago skyline in a unique way. It also has a 5% slope to allow easy access for people who are physically challenged. “Chicago, in my humble opinion, is, architecturally, the best American city traditionally and just visually. It’s so exciting.” / -Frank Gehry I never met Frank, but if I did, I think I would like him.

  • A silhouette of Bowen Island against a very dramatic sunset on a July evening. The photograph was taken whilst traveling by boat across the Strait of Georgia from Vancouver to Vancouver Island, BC. Thin layers of cloud formed as parallel lines in the sky and reflected down on to the ocean as seen in the foreground. Canon 20D / 1/50sec f8 ISO 200
