This photo was taken during a extreme low tide just after sunrise at Monkey Mia in Shark Bay Western Australia. You could walk out about 100 meters from the beach before you got to the water! The location of Monkey Mia is the only place on Western Australia where the sun rises over the ocean. / As you can see in this photo the sun has been blocked by the large cloud formation, but can be seen in the reflections off the wet sand. A 10 shot stitched panorama! Taken with my 20D And 17-40 f/4 L. Featured In: Australia! Happy New Year everyone! This shot was taken at the Sunshine Coast just before Christmas 2007….well it’s an old shot isn’t it. Taken with my Canon 5D and the EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM Lens. No Filter has been used but I did some fake HDR processing (single shot) using Dynamic Photo HDR. It’s a fun program and a great alternative to Photomatix.
Full moon to the left…airport to the right, a nugget in the sea and a sprinkled sky 13 Sec Exposure / Focal Length 16.0 mm / F6.3

The day summer arrived and it got stinking hot. This shot was taken at 5am and not a cloud in sight. The days temperature climbed up to 40.2°C in Brisbane. Summer is over is just over a week. This morning was certainly what I would expect in winter, crisp, vibrant and cloudless. Keep it coming…love it

Or maybe just show off!! This is my hubby ‘trying’ his best to do a hand stand at the beach a few days ago! Probably not one of my ‘artistic best’ but nevertheless fun! Enjoy :o)
A surfer standing ready to take the plunge at Bird Rock beach, Jan Juc on the Great Ocean Road, Australia. Pentax istDS Camera My Bubblesite showcases images in their categories.
Taken at Apollo Bay early in the morning. I haven’t processed this one very much at all. A bit of noise reduction and some levels. It was the most amazingly vivid sunrise I have seen for some time. View more of my seascapes at: Landscapes and Seascapes
Dawn at Jan Juc Beach, on the Great Ocean Road.
Arrested Expansion is a symbolic scene that depicts a combination of self-excluding objects that might not be present in real life. Objects in the secluded room make the viewer feel claustrophobic and unreal, which might be compared to someone’s mental delusion based on a medical condition. Image is a mixture of photo stock with some 2D vectors, and 3D objects. Photoshop, 3ds max, Illustrator. / The most common cause of cardiac arrest is a heart rhythm disorder or arrhythmia called ventricular fibrillation (VF). The heart has a built-in electrical system. When a contraction happens, blood is pumped. But in ventricular fibrillation, the electrical signals that control the pumping of the heart suddenly become rapid and chaotic. As a result, the lower chambers of the heart, the ventricles, begin to quiver (fibrillate) instead of contract, and they can no longer pump blood from the heart to the rest of the body. If blood cannot flow to the brain, it becomes starved of oxygen, and the person loses consciousness in seconds. Featured in Dimensions framing suggestion / The very talented Cathrine / was kind enough to write this beautiful poem: Stranded I await / for signs, for answers / that may come my way / In a day, a word, a gesture / and when it comes, what would I say? For the path to walk is so unclear / My tide is low, my movement lost / Where to go, a mystery to me / Rooted, in this space of now / My final port, I don’t see Don’t want to falter / don’t want to fall / don’t want to sink / into an unknown hole / Just await, the best, I think It will come, it will tell / and then I shall answer / with a clarity of voice / in this circus of a world / I will make my choice and so I await / for my tide to come in / Entire being reaching / to be carried to the place / where my heart and mind would be meeting. / Thanks very much for all your kind support:) xxx
Taken at Rhyll early in the morning when the tide was way out. On the way back from Cowes to Woolamai I thought I might stop by Rhyll as I had never been there before even after all the years we had a house there. I spotted this boat tied up in the mud and couldn’t resist a shot. My shoes sank into the mud real deep and had to give the tripod a good clean. Taken with my Canon 40D with polarising and graduated filters. Featured in the All About Boating group on the 19th of April 2009 One of the photos in my Phillip Island series, please click here to see the rest of my images in the series
“Time and Tide” She rises in silence on another human moment, and illuminates the crumbling icons we worship…and those we have yet to awaken to. Reality is merely a perception, and we can be so blind. Regardless of our lack of vision, / time and tide move inexorably to erase all traces of our petty struggles and return us to the place it all began… The ghosts of the past walk beside the spirits of the future, leaving invisible footprints upon this landscape… guiding a relentless cycle of humanity on its neverending journey to self discovery. Somewhere between the lines, truth reveals the simple joy of acceptance and the relinquishing of control, and waits patiently for us to see. Beyond all that we think we are or strive to be, time and tide will continue to overwrite our diminutive stories with a grander chronicle of their own, eternally seeking to restore the balance…. Thought I’d upload the image in large….all that water falling over the front rocks there also fell on me and the camera…. I have never been so thoroughly soaked before…whilst wearing clothes… Since I was there with a couple of my students it was a GREAT lesson on what NOT to do….LOL
View from Kilclief on the shore of Strangford Lough in County Down, Northern Ireland. / Canon 5D mkII 24-70 f2.8L. 2 stop ND grad. HDR image produced from one file (and a lot of tweaking)! / This replaces an earlier version of this shot which I wasn’t 100% happy with.
