This page of sketches is from a time in my life more than 20 years ago when sketching art was more from the need to discover possibilities than from a need to earn a living as it has become so apparent over the years. “Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away…” / the Beatles
PENCIL RENDERING
PENCIL RENDERING
Sketch, pencil on cartridge paper during life drawing workshop
One of my favorite characters from this game. SO I did a little commemorative piece for her. This is her doing windmills.
Another Street fighter homage but in a different direction than the 1st. This is show Chun Li after the brawl of her life. Her clothes ripped up, fave and body bruiesed, a black eye, etc.
I saw fear she had a dress made of death / In time and dust her neck was covered / thin hands to dig into lonely souls / and blood running down her throat. / Garments sewn on eternal darkness / shutting eyes through layers of skin / For like sister fury she was blind / feeding madness with madness / Cutting rocks in shape of hearts / Licking wounds with sour tongue / Scratching hands covered in rust / her pale face ripped apart / For what the eye dont see, the mind not knows. I wrote this little poem/text and I decided to draw an illustration for it… this has no pencil work behind, it’s done directly… free mind on paper. inkpen on paper / full size please you wont see what the heck is happening in the drawing
original sketch for monoprint reworked with charcoal and ink
Test sketch for something I’m working on. I’m trying to find a style for a short animation and I think this may be the way I want to go. It’s not set in New York but this is something I started when I was there 3 years ago and have only just come back to. This sketch quickly turned out in Flash.
