Yes I finally got my IR filter! This is the first shot I have taken with it so far, however as I took this this morning while rushing to work, I completely forgot to take a tripod or to set the white balance so I feel quite lucky it even turned out at all.. I just wish it wasn’t so overcast so I could have captured the dark infrared sky.. Sure it isn’t the best IR shot, but I have plenty of time to learn! Thanks for looking!

I shot this on Thanks Giving Day on the roof of a church. It was about forty feet to the roof. as I reached the roof the ladder collapsed and I rode the ladder all the was to the ground and smashed my ankle, it was sore for a month. My friend and I got to shout for maybe 10min. before the cops showed up. I thought they were going to arrest us for sure. But they let us go and I got 2 sweet shots and that is why I call this shot Thanks Giving Day.

My first Twin Lens Reflex camera arrived today wOOt wOOt!! A lovely little 1940’s Kodak Brownie Reflex in beautiful condition. So what did I do? I proceed to pull it apart and then wrap 100mph tape and cardboard around it to create my light blocking contraption so I could start experimenting with TtV photography!! As you do ;) Sorry Great Aunt Gladys! I didn’t break it though, just removed a little bit ;) It is waaaaay more challenging than I thought it would be, and I think I may have developed an ebaying-for-tlr-cameras addiction in the last week but the results – when you get it right – are totally worth it, so all things considered I might stick with this for a bit ;)
