Photo taken late afternoon as the sun was setting… hence the sunset shadows. Here’s my boy Kane doing what he loves most!! Skateboarding is almost an obsession for him. He skates at least 4 times a week either at the local school or at the local bowl with his Daddy (his Daddy is right back into Skateboarding after 15 years). At just 4 he can already push off and confidently ride a skateboard. This was Logan, our 11 yr old’s, first real time to sk8 at a sk8 park. He was so excited!! He had his first attempt at the smaller ramp…and made it. The second time he fell. He wouldn’t wear his helmet that his NaNa had just given him for his bday because she bought the wrong type. LOL She bought more of a “bicycle helmet” instead of a Sk8r one. But he quickly learned his lesson when he fell the second time and bumped his head a ‘lil bit on the concrete. Lessons….learned!! / (taken on 10-19-08)

Here’s my boys down at the local Bowl. Kane is three years old in this photograph. This is how Kane experiences the thrill of a skate bowl while us parents can still keep our nerves in tact. His Daddy holds his hands and slowly builds momentum… swinging him back and forth like a pendulum (in the smaller entry part of the bowl). They pick up some pretty high speed as you can see by how close to the coping Kane is ( ;D Moose). Kane has the time of his life. Featured in the Art of Skateboarding.

If the Last Resort was a beach resort it might be something like this. I may add some more to this design but for now i thought i should post it for comments. I would appreciate any you might have. I’ve tried to make it in a late 80s surf/sk8 style, it’s a shame CMYK colours cant give me some bright neon! I would never go as far to say I’m a grafitti artist but i still like to have a go at all things cool. I had this in mind for my first Skateboard deck design but its hitting cotton first it this black only format.
