  • A Painting by : Shree / Expressive Excellence by : Wendy Slee Well friends this is a painted moment of two sisters swinging together after whole days work, where one is elder sister and another is younger sharing and discussing their friendly issues from their lives. I wanted to show their love, bond, respect, intimacy, closeness, affection, feeling of security and a sense of friendship being two real sisters that they can share and exchange anything as they are more like friends than sisters. In my country India its a tradition that after the family lunch or a dinner all the males sit together in a family room to relax and share a little talk on general issues and all the ladies of the house sit in ladies room where in the centre there is a big engraved swing hanged and the eldest lady of the house sit along with others on that swing and they too share and make fun on their daily issues. My artistic painting is excellently expressed by one of the finest artists on RB – WENDY SLEE…read her awesome poetic thoughts and enjoy this swinging moments .!!!!!!! A moment in time, / Gently swinging, / Carefree, / The future poised, anticipating, / For a moment holds its breath, / Potential radiates out in all directions / Awaiting our choices, / The waves we will make, / Such simple footsteps, / Our perfect creation. Back and forth / We ebb and flow / In peaceful acknowledgement / Like the tides, / Rhythmic and harmonic / Children, daughters, sisters, / Then mothers and grandmothers, / The perpetual unfurling and / Inevitable drawing of life back into itself / And beyond. In your eyes I see myself / Reflecting back, / The years before, / The childhood joys, / Moments shared and hands held, / Words passed, / Secrets told, / Whispers in the dark… / How our beauty unfolds / In the bloom of each others faces. The river of woman flows / Before us, beckoning, / The innocence of our childhood / Left behind on its shores. / Rippling and shining in divine femininity, / The waters of the future await, / Daring us to drink deeply and move on. / Hands no longer need grasp / What the heart already holds. / Where shall we go from here?* /

  • Playing with another mandala, in between working/publishing a JOURNAL manuscript, I was torn for naming and lacking for a story to accompany… / Low and behold, my sister Sally Omar posted an amazing writing called Dancing Rainbows, which in words and feelings matched it to a tee. So without further ado… I danced with a rainbow / and it danced with me / I realized what love was / and I was finally free a breeze joined us / the birds sang their song / I realized what grace was / nothing was wrong the angels were humming / the doves took flight / my life flashed before me / I didn’t sleep that night I thought of the trials / the tribulations I’ve seen / and then there was the beauty / mixed in between a heart is a heart / meant to understand / a soul is a soul / please hold my hand travel through beauty / turn your head from hate / we are the masters / of our own fate. Sally Omar 4/7/2009 DANCE Photograph of sketch edited, painted and filtered with Redfield plug-in fractilius in Photoshop7

  • THIS IS A BIG IMAGE VIEW LARGER FOR BEST RESULTS Isnt it a buzz when you get that perfect light, the shades of day as it is born, as the first rays light up an already magnificent view ? For those viewing, commenting and favouriting if i’m lucky thank you This shot was taken from Echo Point in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area at dawn, it was created from 5 bracketed images using a Nikon D300 fitted with a Nikon 18-200mm. No filters were used. The image was taken at sunrise certainly a great view. The Blue Mountains are located 2 hours west of Sydney by road, also by train for visitors to Sydney, there are also organised day trips via motor coach that will take you to the area for the day…. though if you have the time spend a few days in the area. You can see all the attractions, have a devonshire tea in one of the many teahouses, or sit on the edge of the valley that seems to go on forever, and listen to the birdlife. Bushwalking is a must ! • Model – Sarah / (My baby sister!) And Sarah sits alone / And I see her crying on the phone / Don’t let him hurt you / Cause you don’t need that now Sarah, remember all the times / We would stay up late beside the fire / With all your friends there / And me playing my guitar So don’t lock yourself in your room / Cause everyone outside cares for you / Write down your thoughts / Upon your head / Sarah, I’m still your brother / Won’t you let me in? You’re getting older now / Make sure you’re thinking for yourself / Don’t let them taint you / Or put you in harms way And I know that dad is gone / And mother is in pain and covered up / Don’t think I don’t know / How hard it is to be alone And so don’t lock yourself into your room / Cause everyone outside here cares for you / Write down the thoughts / That come upon your head / Cause Sarah, I’m still your brother / So let me in And I know that life is hard / But if we all gave up / Then what’s to live for / And I’ve tried that / And look what I am / So Sarah, I’m still your brother / Why won’t you let me in? Won’t you let me in? / I should have called / To see how you’ve been / Oh won’t you let me in / Sarah, I’m still your brother / Won’t you Let me in
