The original drawing was a Charcoal on paper from a life drawing class. It was photographed and scanned, then converted to grayscale and digitally manipulated in Photoshop to add the type layer. / It seems to me that a woman drawing a woman can be more removed more from that element of desire, if it is tagged as sexual desire (unless of course she is lesbian). I am not advocating that sexual power in art is a negative thing, indeed many use sexual energy to great advantage and the passion gives their work an edge – Brett Whiteley, Egon Schiele…. when i think about it, it is an unusual quality belonging to very few! I have always admired the power of a Rainer Fetting who painted his gay lovers, giving us some insight into the artist and his extraordinary energy, the verve and confidence in the the sweeping sharp, clean brushstrokes with an ability to seduce the viewer. / Digital Sista is really about the journery of the life model in art, about her continuing presence and the changing way we see her whether the artist is man or woman.

LINK-UP SISTAS, sends a strong message of lets link-up and work together, Univerisal. my personal opion one of the greatest paintings I’ve ever done , I did’nt have any commission Art or work until LAVON KIRKLAND of the Phittsburg Steelers saw the ideal for this painting it took me through the last quarter of 2007, and by the way I did all of Lavon’s Banners even doing the Super-Bowl when they played against Dallas, Title MAN IN THE MIDDLE # 99 WHICH WILL ALSO BE FEATURED ON THIS SITE.
