  • This was a spontaneous shot taken at a local Adelaide cafe on Rundle Street East in Kent Town one day when I was out with Dan. It was included in the series ‘When He’s Away’ and was a part of the ‘Living Queer in Adelaide’ group exhibition for the 2006 Feast Arts Festival there (Exibited at the Town Hall) I really like this one – human body against unyielding cement wall and rigid geometric lines. The theme that I was working on with the shots in this series was an analysis and exploration of sexuality – but more specifically gay male sexuality and the universal themes relating to the divide between public and private, acceptibility and unacceptibility, connection and disconnection, and of course human vulnerability / sensitivity and the structures and systems which confine or limit this. • I took this photo in KotaKinabalu (Malaysia) of a boy sitting on a truck overlooking the markets at dusk. I don’t know what the words mean that are written on the truck… but i think I prefer the mystery.

  • Model: Lulu (VMM) / Makeup Artist: Damien G / Lingerie: Hopeless Clothing My good friend Gaby runs Hopeless Clothing (www.hopelesshotel.com.au) and this is one of my favourite shots taken from the shoot we did for her new lingerie line. Not that you can see a lot of the clothing itself, but overall a great fashion shot, so I had to share! Enjoy! Oh & it’s not some weird red dot on her face, it’s a heart.
