  • “What a wonderful realm of patterns, colours, textures and hues the beautiful horse carries!. Nonchalantly trotting his striking beauty, this handsome individual is a pleasure to observe. / / From the bristly ear hairs to his soft velvety muzzle, from the silky cascading mane to the luxurious golden braids of his tail, he is a true delight. The bay coat is set ablaze in a fiery red during the warm afternoon hours. His sweet glance is ever inquiring while a pretty white stripe adorns his face.” / / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. • “While strolling around my quiet neighbourhood, a quick leaf turn and a speedy little tail told me of the presence of a curious Chipmunk. I knelt down and waited. There she was, peeking through a fallen leaf. She leapt closer and I started to capture frames. / / Her sweet face was delightful. The camera clicks kept her amused, and she decided to get a better view of the noisy device. She climbed up an oak trunk of a warm ochre shade and offered me her best inquiering pose –her coat in perfect camouflage with the oak bark..” / / (Location: Countryside in Lexington, MA, USA) / / Artist statement: My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. • “I love to observe my flowers at different times of day. In a warm summer evening, the sunset light bathed my pretty Hibiscus flower in sheer glory. Her petals took a heavenly presence for a brief moment, offering me this regal view.” / / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. • Red-legged Frog (Rana aurora) / / “We are blessed by the existence of a conservation area abutting our wooded property. New acquaintances with many a wild neighbour bring thrill to our lives. Fom the largest to the smallest of the forest dwellers, each creature is a jewel and something to be appreciated and respected. White-tail Deer, Red Fox, Coyote, Cottontail, Frog and Toad, myriad birds from the tiny to the raptor to Wild Turkey, Raccoon, Bat, glittering insects and more. / / “Humane solutions seek a peaceful co-existence with those hungry wild dwellers who may, occassionally, turn the lid of the litter bin or, during nest-building season, engange in a noisy pecking then a franctic drilling of our wooden house. / / “Our property certified as a Wildlife Habitat and we are for a safe co-existence with all dwellers who find a home in it or venture through it. / / “Like this pretty frog Rana aurora. Strangely enough, New England, USA, is not its range (Vancouver Island and coastal British Columbia, south along the Pacific coast to northern California; introduced populations in Nevada). She paid me a visit only once and left a life-long impression after her beauty and uniqueness. / / “This image is meant to carry such message of conviviality.” / / / Image, concept and art © Carmen Mandel-Cesáreo / / =========================================================== / All proceeds from the sales of this T-Shirt will be donated to: / / Teaming with Wildlife / / The Teaming with Wildlife Coalition includes conservationists who support the goal of restoring and conserving the nation’s wildlife (USA). / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- / Carmen, creator of Art for Conservation

  • “Inquisitive and friendly, my equine friend keeps me company in the late afternoon hours. He carries his enthralling beauty nonchalantly, swaying his silky coppery mane with grace. / / While casting a lovely glance upon me, his gorgeous eyelashes outlined a pretty silhouette against the clear sky” / / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. • “She lay quietly among other flowers. As if unaware of her intense beauty, she humbly shared a crowded stand in a farm. She whispered by my ear and I turned. My eyes were filled with her regal colours as my heart halted. Her glowing face nodded at me. / / I indulged myself in the contemplation of her sheer beauty, her intricate face, her lovely petals and her delicate patterns. I wondered whether she was missing the feeling of warm damp soil, the company of foliage and the caress of misty rain”. / / / During my travels in Thailand and Cambodia, I reveled in the extraordinary and fragile beauty of the Orchid. A large-scale illegal trade and other threats decimate their environment. / / Currently, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCNR) list 100 Orchid species in status from vulnerable to critically endangered. / / / Image © Carmen Mandel-Cesáreo / / / —-—-—-—-— / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. • Conservation and Change
    by Carmen Mandel-Cesáreo

    / / / I created the group “_Art for Cons…

/ / / I created the group Art for Conservation to host compassionate, talented and generous members who support conservation and animal rescue organisations with sales proceeds from their artwork. / / If we want a change, we need to work towards it. No deed is too small, no voice is too weak, no donation is too little, no effort goes in vain. Educating the general public about conservation issues, about species in the brink of extinction, about healthy earth-friendly habits, about animal welfare, about humane wildlife management, about the fragility of eco-systems and about a responsible natural citizenship, sparks ingenuity and fosters new ideas. / / Take a moment to enjoy and be inspired by the splendid art featured in this gallery, learn what the artist conveys through the images and narrative, visit their supported charities and consider purchasing a fine piece of art knowing that you will be aiding a good cause. / / Enter the gallery >here / / Browse the list of conservation organisations supported by the artists in this group to learn about concerning issues round the world >here. / / This group and the list of supported conservation organisations are further promoted by me on the Web through my conservation works. / / Globalisation enables us to act together in a cohesive way unthinkable of time ago. Let us take advantage of this opportunity to generate a positive change. / / / / Thank you / / Carmen / Creator of Art for Conservation / / /
