This is a collaboration I did with Geoff Coleman.. http://www.redbubble.com/people/geoffcoleman thanks geoff…loved this photo!! this piece was probably the one that took me the longest to create ever… the lighting was difficult to blend in with geoff’s photo and each test render took over an hour … there were over 30 test renders, in addition to the 20 odd hours i spent on lighting and surfaces … i was pretty determined to make it work.

St. Louis Bay between Minnesota and Wisconsin. I love this shot. Mainly because it was an accident so to speak. I hadn’t planned on taking any photos but we arrived at this spot and the water was so calm and then I noticed the smoke and the reflections and the number 3 seemed to have formed. It was a sight I had to capture. Thanks so much for looking!!

Fiiiiiiinally finished. A companion piece to this one I did a year and a half ago: I decided the other day that there was a distinct lack of blue paintings in my folio! Had to rectify the situation. He is approx 30cm square, watercolour/pastel etc on canvas. He has shiny silver leaf on his spikes too.

Gallery 1 / Gallery 2 / Gallery 3 / Gallery 4 / Gallery 5 / Gallery 6 ============================== / Best viewed in large view for details Traveling on his way, the Fool first encounters a Magician. Skillful, self-confident, a powerful magus with the infinite as a halo floating above his head, the Magician mesmerizes the Fool. When asked, the Fool gives over his bundled pack and stick to the Magician. Raising his wand to heaven, pointing his finger to Earth, the Magician calls on all powers; magically, the cloth of the pack unfolds upon the table, revealing its contents. And to the Fool’s eyes it is as if the Magician has created the future with a word. There are all the possibilities laid out, all the directions he can take. The cool, airy Sword of intellect and communication, the fiery Wand of spirituality and ambition, the overflowing Chalice of Love and emotions, the solid Pentacle of work, possessions and body. With these tools, the Fool can create anything, make anything of his life. But here’s the question, did the Magician create the tools, or were they already in the pack? Only the Magician knows – and on this mystery, our eloquent mage refuses to say a word. At #1, the Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud (“And God said ‘Let there be Light!’ and there was Light”). / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / To read more go to this site {{{{{{{{{{{ ART PRINTS & CARDS }}}}}}}}}}}

The last things I painted in 2007. / / Watercolour, chalk pastel, ink pen and silver leaf. I got this paint flicker thing a few months back and have been splattering test canvases, this is the first time I’ve used it in a finished piece. Fun fun! / / This one I’ve called ‘found’, though that’s not necessarily what’s happening. / Each of these creatures could be considered ‘mistrustful’ perhaps. How did they come to have a shiny crown? Did they find them? Steal them? Maybe the crowns always belonged to them. / / These are actually 3 separate canvases, making up a set. I’ve combined them into one image for RB. / / / / / / / / This one shows the shiny silver crown… / /

Modern statue in the wee county of Clackmannanshire Scotland / A Sculpture by Andy Scott. actual name “River Spirit / The first of international sculptor Andy Scott’s three public art works for Clackmannanshire is situated on the Collylands Roundabout, between Sauchie and Alva. The sculpture named ‘River Spirit’ depicts a female figure growing out of a trunk base created using a mosaic of steel flat bar segments. Her foliage hands hold woven steel bars in the shape of the River Forth above her head. While Andy’s sculptures can be admired at dozens of sites, from Glasgow to Australia, the siting of three substantial pieces in close proximity will be an unprecedented concentration of his work. Since graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1987 Andy has worked across a diverse range of artistic and creative projects. Public sculpture has been at the forefront of his activities, with dozens of commissions completed for a wide client base. Andy is a figurative sculptor and works in steel and bronze. He combines traditional figurative symbolism and artforms with contemporary fabrication techniques to create iconic sculptures for the public realm. His most well known pieces include the Clydesdale horse on the M8 at Easterhouse and the Thanksgiving Square Beacon in Belfast.

For career luck, hang up a print of’100’s of Birds’ in the office or at home to assist in bringing in lots of opportunities. Have the birds flying into the house, not flying out the door. These birds would be well placed in the North for career luck. The silver birds symbolise metal, and the sky, water. In the cycle of elements, metal produces water… Very auspicious indeed!

Old chap in Udaipur. His glasses were an instant hit! Obviously very dear to him too, he had taped them together at several places to hold the pieces together!
