As you may know Mar Silva is an especially amazing and generous person on this incredible site and I am reposting this journal in honour of Mar’s forthcoming trip to her beloved mountains next week. Please have an amazing time and come back safely – or “safe oot – safe in!” as we say in Peebles! Mar’s work is just inspirational and awesome like this as the sun sets / But what is even more incredible is the effort she puts in to bring this beauty to our screens as shown in the following pics : / / upon us all a littel rain must fall / / don’t give up and the real story / Mar has now bought FOUR of my cards over recent weeks and I know she has made a lot of others very happy too ! So the HUGEST THANKYOU Mar !! Way to go girl! hoping the training is complete and your injuries have healed in time for your next trip and can’t wait to see the results ! Who don’t loves honey? / But who cares about the hard work the bees have? / ‘Common take a look do you see how much pollen she carries? The image only was a small crop to fit better the subject, the tonal force is the same as the original photo, a small noise reduction was done.

The day becomes sad, everything becomes dark, the feelings come from deep inside, then suddenly you feel the melancholia. The image was edited to be a little dark and the tones where bit mixed so that the feeling in the photo gets stronger. All the editing was done in 16 bits/channel, saved and tiff and wdp (for archive), for sending to RedBubble the image was saved in progressive jpeg w/ 3 scans and at maximum quality.

This work was made when i was trying to color individual parts of a black and white photo trying to restore color, and it ended up looking just truly amazing. Is one of those works I’m really proud of ;) All the editing was done in 8 bits/channel, saved as wdp (for archive), for sending to RedBubble the image was saved in progressive jpeg w/ 5 scans and at maximum quality.
