Without hummingbirds
by Symmetry44And as yet I ache to break free of the morning haze / To ponder salvation—the “sole revelation” / And thus pray for “heeling” to commence
This one was written completely as a joke. It has a comedic undertone all the way around so don’t look for any seriousness in this one gang. / It’s simply the story of a guy lying in bed early in the morning, half asleep, half awake he contemplates the perceptive-reality of the hummingbirds chirping and fluttering about outside his window, not sure if he is awake and realizing or asleep and dreaming. / He nonetheless requires his silence only to seek his reprieve by hurling his size 9 shoe across the room toward the window there the hummingbirds are feverishly residing.

The Ravens (Badgering Breakfast Bellows)
by Symmetry44The rantings of frantic echoes in chaotic synergy / greets the dark dawn / Thus overshadowing a synchronicity / of subtle yet “for-granted…
If you do not like cussing then please DO NOT read this humorous poem. This is a poem I recently submitted to a contest for funny poetry. In the vein that “anything goes” had I written this poem for entry into said contest. / I couldn’t resist the temptation to write an off the wall ass-o-nine poem simply because I love humor and do not take myself or life too serious. / There are some swear words in this poem, therefore as I’d stated, if you are easily offended please turn back NOW!!! The poem is about a man lying in bed in the early morning hours and as he tries to sleep is unable to do so because of the belligerent banter of the crows bellowing outside his open window. / He is too tired and lazy to simply close the window and thus ponders his subsequent revenge upon them as he curses their very existence. / I hope you can see the humor….... / As I purposely set out with a poetic/philosophical prowess as we poets seek to do, so too do I finish with a complacency indicative of this man’s “true colors” in a dance of grace and disgrace alike.

Mozzle Proofing
by jcmontgomeryA little more fun with poetry as inspired by Lewis Carroll.
A little more fun with poetry as inspired by Lewis Carroll. To see the first inspiration click here: A Child’s Treasure Also inspired by Friday Five at Poefusion / As a tribute to Lewis Carroll’s Jabberwocky, we were asked to write a poem using the following words: caprussule – mozzle – cack – skrey – glureon Note: I gave caprussule an accent so it would rhyme with skrey
