  • Meet Ginger. Proudly sitting on the window sill displaying his battle-scar on his left ear. He used to belong to a separated couple who moved away without any of them taking him along, about three years ago. He has since been adopted by a young childless couple who arrived some six months after. After siring quite a few kittens, he has now been newtered and is living indoors and receiving all the TLC in the world.

  • It truly is, but with a bit of a perspective ‘twist’ (as usual ;-)

  • These are the steps that the new recruits go up and down everyday during basic training until they graduate. Fort Sill, OK

  • “Ancient guardians / of time and secrets, / the stone giants / lean and whisper / of their youth. The whisperers remember / when the age was new, / and shadows had not fallen / across the broad moor. The Standing Stones / keep well their secrets / teasing with memories / that only the dead / can know” poem by Celtic Poet. / Rie Sheridan

  • near medicine park in oklahoma. near lawton/ fort sill. took my sis for a drive one afternoon to show her oklahoma and this is what we found ;) Nikon d80 / march 2009 Earth Keepers Group: I love reusing platic and glass containers instead of throwing them away. They can be decorated and used to hold all sorts of things. This way you don’t have to go buy containers, you’re saving it from being in a landfill… or found in fields like these all over Oklahoma. With the wind we get…there is almost always garbage flying everywhere you can see… Very sad!

  • 2009 Acrylic on Canvas 50×40” from The Native American Series. Goyathlay was a Mimbreno Apache, his Grandfather was a Chief, not a Mimbreno, but his Father gave up the Chieftainship to marry into the Mimbreno Apache. Goyathlay was sent to live with Mimbreno Chief Mangas Coloradas, (Spanish for Red Sleeves). Under Mangas Coloradas, fighting the Mexicans was given the name “Geronimo” by the Mexicans, which is (Spainish for Jerome). Goyathlay married into the Chiricahua Apache, under the leadership of the Great Chief Cochise. The Chiricahua Apache were very special people, even to the Apache. Geronimo was never allowed to return to his home in southern Arizona. He died in 1909 at Ft. Sill in Oklahoma, The Last True Warrior….Geronimo.

  • a field of flowers in Holy City in the Wildlife Refuge near Lawton / Fort Sill, OK. This is behind a giant statue of Jesus. They also have cobble stone buildings, a church and other structures. It’s home to the longest running passion play in the US. I’m not religious, but for some reason I’m drawn to this place. I played around with it in photoshop… this is the end result… Not sure why, but the title is the only thing that my mind would come up with…. I wonder what that says about me lol! Nikon D80

  • I loved all of these little dried up flowers along the road near my house. The’ sun was setting… it was beautiful out there! Oklahoma is hot, muggy, buggy, but it has it’s beauty too., Nikon D80 / July 09 / Lawton, Oklahoma

  • Lawton, OK / May 09 2 photos layered with different opacities Brushes I found on the web here All put together in CS4 by me =) Nikon D80 For Earth Keepers: Lawton, OK is HOT, muggy and buggy. There isn’t much to do around here, but when you look around with the right attitude there is beauty to be found. However…. with the extreme wind here the garbage gets blown all over the cow pastures and hay fields. We need to be better about securing our trash and that include not producing as much too.

  • My Website I was fiddling around with my little muse and working on natural lighting today when Ash suddenly appeared and began glaring through the window at my poor model LOL :) Featured in Animal Composites & Fine Art July 09 / Featured in Maniac Manikins July 09 Listen to Your Heart I know there’s something in the wake of your smile / I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yeah / You’ve built a love but that love falls apart / Your little piece of heaven turns too dark Listen to your heart when he’s calling for you / Listen to your heart, there’s nothing else you can do / I don’t know where you’re going and I don’t know why / But listen to your heart before you tell him goodbye Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile / The precious moments are all lost in the tide, yeah / They’re swept away and nothing is what is seems / The feeling of belonging to your dreams Listen to your heart when he’s calling for you / Listen to your heart, there’s nothing else you can do / I don’t know where you’re going and I don’t know why / But listen to your heart before you tell him goodbye And there were voices that want to be heard / So much to mention but you can’t find the words / His scent of magic the beauty that’s been / Well I was wilder than the wind Listen to your heart when he’s calling for you / Listen to your heart, there’s nothing else you can do / I don’t know where you’re going and I don’t know why / But listen to your heart before you tell him goodbye Listen to your heart / I don’t know where your going and I don’t know why / Listen to your heart before you tell him goodbye Roxette

  • Featured in The Keystone State – Pennsylvania group August 20, 2009. / Featured in Object Studies and Concepts August 16, 2009. / Featured in HDR Photography August 15, 2009. / Featured in Rural Around The Globe August 11, 2009. Best On Full Size This image was taken at The Keystone State – Pennsylvania group’s recent shoot in Lancaster County, PA (near Manheim) at BreakAway Farms. One of the great things about this shot, for me, is that my Dear Hubby (who came along YAY!) actually found this little bottle and placed it on the window sill for me. He even named the shot. The bottle is from the wedding of the owner of the farm … 6 years previous. It eventually gathered quite a crowd … this is Ann, Mike and Eric all working to get just the right perspective!!!! The bottle image taken on the morning of August 8, 2009 with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter was at 1/50, aperture f/13, exp. 0.00, iso 400. Post processing included duplication of the image 3 more times at +3, 0, -3, -8 and HDR in Photomatix, then back to Photoshop for more work with the clone tool, levels, blending with a previously multiplied layer and addition of a texture. texture courtesy of Ghostbones on Flickr
