And it includes the stream’s entire watershed as well.We should do what we can to help preserve these beautiful wonders of nature before much of its flora and fauna are gone.

Suddath Due to a successful brook trout restoration program, for the first time in 30 years, anglers are now able to fish for brook trout in park streams of the Smoky Mountains. These streams were once ruined by logging. The brook trout was also rooted out my non native rainbow and brown trout. Our waters are precious for our life and all of natures, help keep them clean. This image was taken on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, Great Smoky Mountain N.P.

Taken at Point Roadknight just minutes from Anglesea. The Great Ocean Road passes close by in Victoria, Australia. Also part of the Great Otway National Park that runs down much of the coast from Torquay right across to Port Campbell. HDR from 3 exposures, white balance adjusted in Lightroom as well as a few other minor touch ups.

This beautiful Patersonia sericea (Silky Purple Flag or Native Iris) opening up to face the morning sun stopped me dead in my tracks when I saw it illuminated by a patch of light among the undergrowth. The first ting I thought was, “I’ve just GOT to get this!” What I really like is the light painting giving translucence to the petals and flower stem and the highlighted stamen. The photograph was made along a track at Diamond Head, part of Crowdy Bay national Park, while of a Nature safari with three camera club friends on a beautiful spring morning. Fuji S9600: Super Macro Mode, f/4.5 @ 1/400sec, Manual Focus, tripod, timer. / Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3 for minimal tweaking.
