On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.
Dawn at Garie Beach, Royal National Park just south of Sydney, Australia. A seagull very obligingly flew into shot as I was taking this. Can you spot the silhouetted fishermen? / I’m lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen – it’s only a little national park (14,000 ha) but the variety of stuff to photograph is simply endlessly inspiring. Last light with a storm approaching near Mannum South Australia. Image taken at the front of the Younghusband general store. HDR conversion of three images. Whilst the River is in trouble and drought effects us every day the communities along the river deserve our support and encouragement. There is still plenty to do and see along these stretches of the river. Tourism is often their lifeblood so with our sky’s and weather at the moment its a great time to visit.
