On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range near Geranium in the Souther Mallee looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

Dawn at Garie Beach, Royal National Park just south of Sydney, Australia. A seagull very obligingly flew into shot as I was taking this. Can you spot the silhouetted fishermen? / I’m lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen – it’s only a little national park (14,000 ha) but the variety of stuff to photograph is simply endlessly inspiring. In modern English, the term ghost ship has come to stand for at least one of three separate definitions, all of which involving unexplained circumstances. Historically, the term has been used to refer to reported sightings of apparitions over water that have appeared in the form of maritime sailing ships, often after having previously been known to have sunk, or to derelict vessels found floating with no crew. In fiction, ghost ships have often been vessels crewed by some manner of spectral beings. Full Moons are traditionally associated with temporal insomnia, insanity and various magical phenomena such as lycanthropy. Psychologists, however, have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on human behavior around the time of a full moon. They find that studies are generally not consistent, with some showing a positive effect and others showing a negative effect (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) Many neopagans hold a monthly ritual called an Esbat at each full moon, while some people practicing traditional Chinese religions prepare their ritual offerings to their ancestors and deities on every full and new moon

Arrested Expansion is a symbolic scene that depicts a combination of self-excluding objects that might not be present in real life. Objects in the secluded room make the viewer feel claustrophobic and unreal, which might be compared to someone’s mental delusion based on a medical condition. Image is a mixture of photo stock with some 2D vectors, and 3D objects. Photoshop, 3ds max, Illustrator. / The most common cause of cardiac arrest is a heart rhythm disorder or arrhythmia called ventricular fibrillation (VF). The heart has a built-in electrical system. When a contraction happens, blood is pumped. But in ventricular fibrillation, the electrical signals that control the pumping of the heart suddenly become rapid and chaotic. As a result, the lower chambers of the heart, the ventricles, begin to quiver (fibrillate) instead of contract, and they can no longer pump blood from the heart to the rest of the body. If blood cannot flow to the brain, it becomes starved of oxygen, and the person loses consciousness in seconds. Mindscape is a mental or psychological scene or area of the imagination. The word is most suitable to the filed of psychology. Mindscape has two words combined in such a way that the meaning goes beyond it – Mind and Escape… It can be translated as a Mind that wants to escape or a Mind that is in route of escaping. This adventure can be in the sense of reality or in spiritual world. / Depression sufferers escape from facts, hallucinates escape from reality, psychotics and neurotics escape from many other forms of life. We usually state that they are people who require help so that they can live an ordinary life. But who is to decide what is normal and what is abnormal? If ones can see the other side of horizon, according to them they deem the facts strongly that they hold about life, oneself and reality. They believe they are the right ones who are amongst wrong people. Are you one of them? I tend to assume we all are, one way or another. Caught ‘up the sware’ (a local viewpoint) at dawn yesterday ( 23/9/08) as the sun rose over the tweed valley just outside Peebles, scottish borders. An especially heartwarming sight after the wet grey summer we’ve had … and it’s straight from my Nikon 4800 coolpix compact camera, untouched. ;))) See also mist in the valley taken at the same time ! and also front row seat cheers all / ding / :))

A beautiful poem written by my wonderful, talented friend Lina…you inspire us all! / / Tree Nature / She kept growing beyond her means / what I mean is, / she kept growing beyond what she desired yesterday, / she thought / if only, / If only I was … better at this…. Problem was she did become better at everything / she desired to become better at! / and still, more / would call her forth like a tree in the forest.. / she fell so many times / yet, none seem to hear her falling / her pain / her fears except maybe her own heart. That felt lonely. Until, / One day she looked deep within / And it was here / She saw and felt / Her tree nature appear / Like a totem / A solemn answer / To the questions she brought / forth She branched out within herself / And the expectations began to subside / What she discovered was / She was best at growing / Some would call it expanding. If she could learn to live in the moments / Between desire, expansion desire.. / She thought perhaps I could find a balance / Of sorts, / Contentment at best / Liberation from her limitless / Limits!! After all, she was like a tree / Happiest when she was in the process / Of Becoming!! / It was only in the thought that she needed to arrive Anywhere That pain seemed to preside / And fear would rear So she planted her feet squarely underneath her and / Allowed her tree nature to shine through. All manner of miracles happened then. / She discovered the art of / Allowing / And her Art, the very core of all that she was and is, / Flourished / Because she knew, She, / Like a tree, Just kept on growing, / Until growing became knowing Knowing, We are never finished and we are never done. Late afternoon, Lyrup flats between Renmark and Berri in the Riverland of South Australia. Afternoon shots whilst waiting for the sun to go down for a night time shoot. The clouds moved apart and left this diamond like section reflecting nicely on the still backwaters. Again a visit to one of my favourite places where these huge River gums stand defiant against nature, dead but not finished….... Canon 400D 18-55 lens, CIR Polarising filter. Three shot panoramic stitch in CS3 and converted to B&W in the same program.

Late afternoon at Port Willunga South Australia. Looking out towards the setting sun through the remains of the Old Jetty structure. Not overly sure about the colours here, strange evening with orange red clouds and just dark enough to get a slight amount of motion in the foreground. Canon 400D, 18 -55 lens, CIR Polarising filter coupled with an ND4. Wet legs and a wet tripod, standing out in the water trying to avoid waves!!!!!!
