My dear Animal Loving Red Bubblers – my good friend Elisabeth – ferndesign – posted this in her journal today – it is extremely distressing to read. May I ask that you take a couple of moments to click on the link at the bottom and sign your name to the petition to stop this appalling thing happening. Please spread the word about this to your friends both on and off RB – the more people that put their name to this – the more chance it will be stopped! Thank you for taking the time to care for those that cannot speak for themselves! / Angela x Taken from ferndesign’s journal An Artist that shouldn’t be recognized in the Art world!!! In 2007, the ‘artist’ Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, tied him to a rope in an art gallery, and starved him to death. For several days, the ‘artist’ and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful ‘masterpiece’ based on the dog’s agony, until eventually he died. Does it look like art to you? But this is not all… the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of the Central American decided that the ‘installation’ was actually art, so that Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the biennial of 2008. PLEASE HELP STOP HIM. It takes a second to help put a stop to animal abuse – Sign the petetion to stop this by Clicking Here Another animal advocate and dear friend Sally Omar has added a further link that we can contact – please visit her journal page Click Here / if you wish to email PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to help get this terrible thing stopped – Thank you! xxx Additional Comment Added 14/04/08 – If anyone can suggest any other organisation that could be contacted to help stop this – please leave a comment to let us know – I will post it on as a further journal message. Thank you! xxx

Hi Kids, I have seen, not so recently, that the lovely Light Blue AA Tee, has now disappeared from our array of coloured tees here at The Bub. As soon as we got the rainbow of colours, on the 13th April, the awesome and my fav Royal Blue disappeared from our hangers. I know that American Apparel discontinue lines, but why not replace them with similar colours? Lets look at Royal Blue…... / The area up the top is the fabric swatch is from AA, and then the left is the PMS colour and the right is CMYK These are the details which can be found on the colour chart at AA here i think there is something strange going on with the Regatta colour details, YET, that aside…... can we please have some sort of replacement for the Royal Blue? Other alternatives for Light Blue at that link too…...... So PLEASE show your support for perhaps bringing in the Ocean Blue…... or the colours you’d like to see or maybe some colours you’d rather not. Much Love and Tees, /

/ The Big 30…30,000 views!!! WOW! I’m feeling old! LOL! No really, it’s great…no actually it’s fantastic! Thank you to each and every one who has become a part of my life, my views and even my artwork itself. Here are some of my favorite highlights since the last ten thousand miles… The biggest news I probably have to announce is the publishing of my artwork in “Artists of The West” book! It is a true milestone for me and a great personal success. It was an amazing project to be involved in and over a three year journey. I ended up making some great friends and contacts along the way and really bonded with everyone involved in the book. / After the release of the book there was some really exciting events to follow like the first book signing in St. Helens with the official release. / I am also doing a public book signing, autographs and a special unveiling of three of my new paintings at the Astoria Sunday Market later this month. The Astoria Sunday Market / / (Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you’re interested or would like more information on the event) Also I am VERY excited to be a part of the RedBubble Rialto Towers art exhibit ironically also on July 27th the same date of my book signing in Astoria, Oregon! My work First Tree was chosen along with 40 other works of art to show in the foyer of the Rialto Towers for a two week art show! I am honored and thrilled to be showing my work alongside the other amazing artists and my RedBubble friends! I was also a part of some wonderful collaborations My collaboration piece Through The Past To The Future with my friend Michael Gatch was a total success and incredibly fun! It was inspired by his photo Through The Past / We had such a good time we did another one… / Apple Harvest which was inspired by Michael’s photo Old Apple When I looked at this work I saw the tree as the point of life that was celebrated and brought people and family together. I wanted to I take it back in time or to another time perhaps. I also had a fantastic collaboration with my dear friend Paul Hobday / I was really inspired by his photo Twisted and had a vision of what eventually became…The Other Side Of The Fence my newest work. Again THANK YOU to each of you who took the time to view my work, comment on my work and invest into me and my career. My art work is the road in this life that I have chosen to make a living on and really…it is my life. In each painting or drawing I create I try to leave a bit of myself to be shared with another person. / Thank you so much for supporting and embracing me and one of my true loves…art!

Greetings RBers I am creating a new set of images using face manipulations to create the Zodiac. / I have already created Aries (My own sign) / I wondered if anyone out there would like me to transform them into the other signs. I just thought a gallery of fellow RBers transform into the 12 signs of the Zodiac might be be pretty cool. / Now at the risk of sounding like a complete mercenary all I ask is that if I create a modification of you is that you provide a few head shots of yourself and that you buy a laminated print. / Aries is not available / And Pieces is probably taken. Thanks for your time. Look forward to changing your face. Love ToastedGhost

Girls…....read this and be brutally honest with yourself…...I’m a ‘happy drunk’....I don’t drink that often but when I do I think I can tick off most, if not all of these…...OOPS! / / 1. I have absolutely no idea where my purse is. 2. I believe that dancing with my arms overhead and wiggling my butt while yelling “WOO-HOO!” is truly the sexiest dance move around. / / 3. I’ve suddenly decided I want to kick someone’s ass and honestly believe I could do it too. 4. In my last trip to pee, I realise I don’t look anything like the ‘goddess’ I thought I was just four hours ago. 5. I drop my 3:00 a.m. ‘God I must be mortal kebab’ on the floor (which I’m / eating even though I’m not the least bit hungry), pick it up and carry on eating it. / / 6. I start crying and telling everyone I see that I love them sooooo much. / / 7. I get extremely excited and jump up and down every time a new song plays because “Oh my God! I love this song!” / / 8. I’ve found a deeper/spiritual side to the person sitting next to me. 9. I can’t resist the temptation to take just one traffic cone as a souvenir. 10. The urge to take off articles of clothing, stand on a table and sing or dance becomes strangely overwhelming. 11. My eyes just don’t seem to want to stay open on their own so I keep them half closed and think it looks exotically sexy. 12. I’ve suddenly taken up smoking and become really good at it. 13. I yell at the bartender, who (I think) cheated me by giving me just tonic water, but that’s just because I can no longer taste the vodka. 14. I think I’m in bed, but my pillow feels strangely like the bathroom floor. 15. I start every conversation with a booming, “DON’T take this the WRONG WAY but…” 16. I fail to notice that the toilet lid’s down when I sit on it. 17. My hugs begin to resemble wrestling take-down moves. 18. I’m tired so I just sit on the floor (wherever I happen to be standing) and take a quick nap. 19. I begin leaving the buttons open on my button fly jeans to cut down on the time I’m in the bathroom away from my drink. 20. I take my shoes off because I believe it’s their fault that I’m having problems walking straight.

RE: 2009 Recipient of Talbot’s $10,000 Womens Scholarship / From: gabryshak / Sent: Tue 7/21/09 10:51 AM / To: rebecca TALBOTS “rebecca- / here you go…” / / How did you hear about scholarship? “i was searching on-line for scholarship opportunities in the summer of 08 (maybe?) and i believe i found it on scholarships.com (?) they have a form that you fill out with all your information and it assists with matching you with specific scholarships that you may qualify for (sometimes the info doesn’t quite match up…but it’s quite the extensive database…) well talbots came up and i put everything i had into the opportunity. “ / What school will you be attending in the fall 2009? / “photographic center northwest or PCNW“ How is it affording you opportunity you didn’t have before? / “winning the scholarship was a huge honor. it gave me a boost of confidence to know that a group of such talented women (faces I recognized, but Judge Marilyn Milian, Host of television’s “The People’s Court” – may I just say, the few times I’ve seen the show, as I don’t watch much tv, it was evident what a strong heart you have and I see you hold your position in an honorably high regard of respect towards the people who you serve… It was an honor to know you stood behind me) who could read my application, and say, “you know what? we believe in you – here’s our pledge, our contribution of faith that we believe in you and your potential to do something good with it”... but it was also like a shining light at the end of the tunnel, a little breathing room financially… knowing that i could look forward to that contribution in august towards furthering my goals made the sacrifices i was making more bearable… going back to school was a scary proposition; knowing i would have to trade a little financial security for an opportunity to further my goals… “ “so, armed with the belief that others had in me, I have already done so much towards accomplishing goals that had been out of reach, mostly for the lack of positioning to do so… positioning my heart towards creating the ability to do what needed to be done; a juggling act for a single mother of three beautiful children,” let alone anything else… “Since submitting, I moved to go forward with creating- Show me a Sign in effort to step forward with my passion towards making a difference in the lives of others and to further highlight my favorite organization www.FareStart.org and too seek out other worthy organizations. I was granted my hosting rights for Show me a Sign on March 13, 2009 and from there I learned about a fabulous photo-book competition three weeks later that would *award $10,000 towards future work – which I announced I would donate $5,000 each towards up to 3 charities that I could get to participate in my project… and should we win, I have also provided an opportunity for up to 12 of my artists to be compensated for their contributions, most of which have already asked for their proceeds to go to charity as well… increasing the possible donation to $10,000 to FareStart (yes, they since increased the award to $25,000!!) – so keep your fingers crossed for that.“ “Finally, I am going to start classes, fully paid, with no worries in the fall at PCNW … I am so thrilled, had life gone the way I wanted, I would have done this years ago – but, here I am and perhaps that more excited for having had to wait. Turns out, the day I published, PCNW was exhibiting at Ouch My Eye Gallery (the first Seattle Gallery that exhibited my photography at their “3rd annual totally analog show”) that very evening and I had the pleasure of getting to better know some amazing people who make up PCNW instructors, students and employees alike… it was a great night and I am so excited to start in the fall!!!” How was the application process? / “For me, the application process for the talbot’s scholarship was a catalyst to accomplishing my goals. It forced me to analyze and then articulate what my goals were… in doing so, I could see what areas I needed to put into action and sharing those ideas with other people that had made an impact in my life just reinforced the desire to realize my visions. I do so whole-heartedly give thanks, in much depth, to all of you behind this scholarship for helping me already to accomplish one of my life-long goals; a dream I announced at the tender age of five to become an author: I published on july 16, 2009 heART that is making a difference.” which is accompanied by this song by JD Martin One Heart tonja gabryshak / beauTonian arts collection / my online photo galleries: / gabryshak / show me a sign blessings and inspirations!!

Work honestly and diligently, and you will find happiness and pleasure in your work. March and November are the months in which you should begin important business. Tuesdays and Saturdays are your most favorable days. January 21 / You are adaptable, fond of good times, easygoing, and somewhat apt to take things for granted. You enjoy traveling and will do a great deal of it. Your tendency toward selfishness will bring you unhappiness in later life unless you learn to curb it. January 22 / You are self-reliant, diplomatic, and fond of dressing well, and you care a great deal for the good opinion of your friends and business associates. Though secretive, but not to the extent of trickery, you are affectionate and lovable and should make a happy circle wherever you are. January 23 / You are somewhat obstinate and difficult, and it is hard to drive you to do anything. Only those that know your weaknesses can rule you. You are well-liked and respected by everyone. You will live a happily married life. January 24 / Although you are good-natured, fair, and truthful, you are slightly inclined toward selfishness. You should marry early in life and choose a mate born in May, July, or November, and one spiritually inclined. January 25 / A born leader, you should strive to make the most of this gift. With your friendly nature, you will be surrounded with congenial friends and your home life will be a constant inspiration. Take care that anger and jealousy do not get the better of your otherwise good judgment. January 26 / Endowed with a great personal magnetism, you will always be surrounded by many people. Enjoy them! Your affections are not very deep, except to the one you will choose for your life partner. You are a true and loyal friend. January 27 / You have great ambitions and desires, and they will take you far if you accept the help of others as you go along, instead of trampling them underfoot. Accept love as it comes to you, even when you think it retards your upward struggle. January 28 / Make the most of the talents you are blessed with, and ever aspire to greater things. Be cautious and prudent; never let your jealousy or envy of others come between you and your happiness. Put your trust in those worthy of it. You are sincere and you will win, through your sincerity, a deep and true love. January 29 / You should take care in directing your natural ambition. Follow one chosen profession or calling faithfully, and be thorough and painstaking in whatever you undertake. You are capable of loving deeply, and your marital and domestic life will be ideal. January 30 / You are capable of exerting a great deal of influence over those with whom you come in contact, and you should be careful in using it. Develop your mind to the extent of its capabilities. You are not demonstrative, but you can and will love with a true, strong passion. January 31 / You are ambitious, but you can be easily discouraged. You give up too easily where you might accomplish many things. You are kind, just, and generous and have an artistic temperament. Cultivate perseverance and confidence in your ability. You are fond of children.
