Another ratty Infrared photo shot with a battered old Olympus OM1 while zooming around in a little zodiac in the frozen oceans of the Antarctic Peninsular. Another mysterious something captured in the clear blue sky and found later on the negative. Not going to put in the big rant this time. But I do believe that there are signs of the gods all around us should we choose to just open ourselves to them. Could this be one of them? Who knows but its certinally a strange thing to find hovering about in the sky and I for one am open to alternative explainations of what it may be or might symbolize….....:)

Ok, only an uber-geek graphic designer, like me, whose favorite class in college was SIGN, SYMBOL, IMAGE would truly appreciate this image. So how many of you are out there? I really love the added little scribble on it too! Not one many of us urbanites see either…

I love doing these experimental and expressive collages. It’s play time for me. I actually worked all night on this one because I was unable to stop for sleep until it was finished. / The angel rising in the foreground is suppose to be the same one that inspired Thomas Wolfe to write Look Homeward Angel. It sits in the graveyard of a small country church nearby where I live. Wolfe’s father sculpted it for an artist who wanted it to stand watch over her parents’ graves. I have photographed it in the past and will try to get some more images of it soon. She’s a bit worn but I love that. / The eyes are my dog, Sadie’s. The window comes from an old farm that I love to explore. It is actually in the attic of the stable as the original houses on the property have both been destroyed by fire. There is also an old dormitory where the farm workers lived that is reported to be haunted:-)
