  • Perch Rock Lighthouse
    by Paul Corica

    US$4.99–US$114.00

Long exposure of Perch Rock Lighthouse situated at the mouth of the Mersey in New Brighton.

  • On a wet evening in Whitby this long exposure manages to smooth out the water and soften the detail in the sky. I have converted this to black and white but it wouldn’t have made much difference if I hadn’t. This long-exposure captured the mood of the evening well. Because of the weather conditions the town was deserted and quiet. The rain had reduced visibility and the only thing that can be seen on the horizon is the light from a distant boat which had been accentuated by the long-expsoure.

    Me gone a little fractalius

  • Its a five shot piece [][][][][] cropped down to a square version. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- / Strynevatnet, Norway. / Canon Eos 40D / Sigma 10-20 mm f: 4-5,6 / Manfrotto 725B / Hoya CPL Focal Length: 10mm / Shutter Speed: 1/30 / Aperture: f11 / ISO: 100

  • Two of Sheffields attractions. The winter garden is one of the largest temperate glasshouses built in the UK in modern times. It is free to visit and beautiful inside. Nikon D80 / Sigma 10-20mm lens at 10mm / f5 for 2.5 secs / ISO 100

  • Just got home from my week in Norway. / Ridiculously Beautiful Country. / Feels like I need to have another week just to catch my breath after this trip, had to close my eyes when we drove quite a few times, cause there are just so many times my friends let me run of with my gear =]. / Due to the curvy roads and such we had to adjust our original trip, skipping a few city’s we wanted to see, but we did pass Hjelle(on the left side of the mountain in the middle) and Stryn. / Gorgeous place! / Next time I will rent a car and drive in Norway for a month(In my dreams I know…), to see more then the usual tourist attraction which we mostly went for on this trip. Not much to say about the shot. Contrast and such fixed in Lightroom, then resized and sharpened in PsCs3. I had a total of 20gb of pictures when I came home, probably submit quite a few more this weekend and later on. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- / Strynevatnet, Norway. / Canon Eos 40D / Sigma 10-20 mm f: 4-5,6 / Manfrotto 725B / Hoya CPL Focal Length: 10mm / Shutter Speed: 1/30 / Aperture: f11 / ISO: 100

  • I totally forgot about these photos that I took this month after spending a day with my family at Kakaako, Honolulu, Hawaii. Technical Note: / A pseudo HDR from a single RAW file. Played around with some layers in CS3 and applied a little lucis. Hope you like it. Exposure: 1/13 sec. | Aperture: f/14 | Focal Length: 11 mm | ISO Speed: 100

  • I just can’t stop taking pictures of fast running water. I’ve always been enchanted by rivers, rapids or waterfalls as far back as I can remember anyway’s. Haven’t had the opportunity at home since I took up photography though, so I really took the chance when I got the possibility in Norway. Its another shot taken at Geiranger. / Had some trouble with the exposure here, was pretty dark so I had to do quite a long expo to get the foreground as I wanted it, which of course made the sky all blown out. I know that the sky looks kinda weird. But I haven’t done anything with it other then making a shorter exposure. Masked, resized and sharpened in PsCs3 as usual. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- / Norway. / Canon Eos 40D / Sigma 10-20 mm f: 4-5,6 / Manfrotto 725B / Hoya CPL Focal Length: 20mm / Shutter Speed: 8/1 – 2,5/1 / Aperture: f22 / ISO: 100

  • Long time since I did any B&W conversions. Thought I would try it on this panorama that I took of Strynvatnet. Wanted to capture some more of the spectacular view over there. Not even close of course but maybe you get a better feel of just how it was standing there… 6 shots [][][][][][] merged together in photoshop and then converted into B&W, then resized and sharpened. I’m not sure about the crop, haven’t really done any, did do one that’s alot tighter cropped, but I can’t make up my mind cause I want to show as much as I can in this shot. Is it working as it is, or do you think its better with a tighter crop? Cheers! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- / Strynevatnet, Norway. / Canon Eos 40D / Sigma 10-20 mm f: 4-5,6 / Manfrotto 725B / Hoya CPL Focal Length: 10mm / Shutter Speed: 1/30 / Aperture: f11 / ISO: 100
