  • Paris has to be my favourite city for people watching, there are so many styles, fashions and personalities found on the many streets of Paris, it was a joy to wander around and take it all in. I found this gentleman enjoying a baguette on the sidewalk (pavement or footpath depending on where you are from). Something about him really captured my interested so I fired of a few shots. When I got back, something was missing from the original scene and I wasn’t sure exactly what so I’ve played around extensively with layers to build up the affect you see, some doding and burning, motion blur and playing with the curves and levels. Overall I’m very happy with the end result which I think adds something the original was missing.

  • This was one of the most heartwarming scenes I’ve ever seen. I almost missed the fact that besides the cat laying on top of the dog, there is also a rat laying on top of the cat! These three animals were the companions of a homeless man. It is so sad that they are all out on the streets, and I have to say that the animals looked more well-fed than the man, and he obviously loves them very much. And the feeling is mutual, because when the man left his spot for a while, those three sweethearts stayed right there waiting for him, despite the fact that there were thousands of people walking by and stopping to look at them. So I would say that they are all very lucky to have each other. San Francisco, CA

  • This is the sidewalk nearby a downtown restaurant. The reason that I have this particular shot was that I had the idea of finding letters in and around me and doing the entire alphabet. This was H. I have been playing around with older photos lately, not having much inspiration nor time to go out and take photos. So this is what I came up with this one, that is, a mix of cross processing and selective colouring. Due to the slightly smaller size of this photo, I have only been able to offer it as a matted print here on Red Bubble. It is available in other formats on Zazzle

  • Another photo of a homeless cat I found while wondering in Shanghai’s Zhong Shan Park. This little fellow was not shy at all and was quite comfortable letting me shoot him. Just love the blue eyes! Shot with a Sony Alpha A700 DSLR + 10-20mm f/4-5.6 Sigma lens. What does this photo say to you? How does it make you feel? I would be happy to hear your thoughts on this image. Please, don’t forget to tell others if you have enjoyed this piece! / And be sure to check out my other works!
