John Simon Ritchie, better known as Sid Vicious, was an English punk rock musician, the bass player of the Sex Pistols and solo singer. Punk rock is an anti-establishment rock music genre and movement that emerged in the mid-1970s. Groups such as the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and The Clash were recognized as the vanguard of a new musical movement. By 1977, punk was spreading around the world.

This is a lovely passion flower that my friend saw and just had to have; thus the title Sid’s Passion. Be careful though they are agressive. In a year they covered a 40 foot section of the fence and started sending runners into the lawn. Just like any passion, I suppose moderation is the key!

There is a little-known way down by the River Sid before it reaches the Byes. It starts as Exeter cross, and I find it beautiful. However, I’ve found recently there’s been more and more litter around, either swept downstream from the park where people from the nearby school congregate or left there by the others that have no-doubtedly found the haven, judging by the graffiti at the entrance. It’s a shame.
