Well …. the scans are done and now just the wait to see the Dr. I checked my phone this morning and there was a message from them asking me to make an appointment. She said he never said it was urgent (whew) so I made it for Monday :) Hopefully he now sees more clearly what the lesions are … then I guess a few more tests and a way to get rid of them :) And hopefully much better health from then on :) Was such a big day out for a little boy yesterday too LOL Had the appointment with Centerlink (yuck) but all went well there so I am covered for a month at least. :) Hopefully won’t need it too much longer after that :) SLOWLY getting stuff done with my ex gf. My solicitor sent the first letter to her this week, she’d have it for sure by now … so I guess now I just wait and see what her response is too that and hopefully move on after all this time :)

I rang the Dr today and found out what it is ….. it’s called: Bronchiolitis – Interstitial Lung Disease. From what I am reading at the moment about it ….. it’s not good :( I can only hope it is a mis-diagnosis really, the visit to the specialist will confirm or dismiss this I guess. I guess (even though it’s too late) it is time to give up the fags eh. I need to get as much info on this as I can, see what my quality of life is going to be like now. It sorta makes sense in a way, I have been ill on and off now for 2 years … and had a bad time with similar symptoms a year ago. This last 8 weeks has been bad though, not only have I been sick with this … I have an ex gf here in WA who feels she has a right to continue to take for me. Those that know me well (especially those that have known me through that relationship and it’s awful ending, and even those that have known me since she left) will understand I strive for honesty. She is lying to those around her to drum up support. / . / Kim, you will certainly understand that. Already she is saying I was in constant contact with you, which as far as I can remember I only contacted you once during my relationship with her … and that was regarding our divorce. and at that stage I only got your Answering machine, so you rang me back. Right? The only other time I can remember contact with you is the day She and I broke up, when you rang me. / . / I don’t mind putting this public because it is the truth and not the reality she seems to want those around her thinking. And even though this upsets me … in reality … none of that has anything to do with her rights to her share of the profits I now make in selling my house. I don’t understand her even bringing those (she has mentioned other unrelated things to do with the relationship breakup) things up when they are so far removed from the legalities of profit sharing in the sale of the houses. The end of the relationship has nothing to do with what I do or don’t owe her. I think at this point her only defense in showing me why she should have such and such a share in the profits … is to belittle me in anyway she can. If this goes to court, the Judge will laugh at her and say What on Earth has that got to do with why we are here? I guess it just shows her character. Again, those who have been by my side through this, will fully understand what I am say. YES … there is two sides to every story and yes, there were things I did I should have done different. But that works both ways and apart from focusing on what I think is fair in this case regarding what she has already taken from me and what she is now wanting to take, I don’t think I have belittled her in ways not associated with that. I stand by what I feel, she is greedy and dishonest to herself. She really doesn’t have a moral strand of DNA in her body and I can’t wait for her to be out of my life forever. Sorry …. needed that vent so badly. :( And in case anyone cares …. the poems I post in my Journal …. the love I felt and the hurts …. they are all about her. Is that a dishonest person?

Ok….in order to explain my reasoning…I have to give you a little bit of background info….sorry for all those of you who use metric measurements etc…I am not so good at those…I am used to inches…etc… please bear with me and please dont give up reading this journal entry..I fear that it will be long..but I actually have a point with all my ramblings this time.. Well….it is getting close to The holidays and Christmas time…and along with that also comes my daughters’ birthdays.. The twins will be three this year…but it was not so very long ago that I was very worried about them…I had a hard time carrying them ..and seeing as I am five feet tall flat…I had no where left to carry two babies past a certain point….so needless to say the pregnancy was complicated. I kept trying to go into labor and it generally wasnt healthy for the babies nor myself..nor was it fun in the least ( I had contractions for approximately two weeks straight and they kept stopping my labor…but it didnt work) ... And sure enough I delivered them when they were 31 1/2 weeks gestation…which is 8 1/2 weeks early… so both girls obviously had to stay in the neonatal unit until they were stable and ready to come home… Thankfully both girls were big for their age (4 lbs 1oz and the other 4 lbs 4 ozs) and they were healthy..so they were not in critical condition. They were not dependant upon respirators, although they did need a nose tube for extra oxygen in the beginning, as well as they were in incubators for the first week they were here…and they looked so little and frail with all the wires and iv’s…And the hospital co-bedded my girls since they were identical twins..they thought that this would help the girls grow and thrive more quickly… Well it did..and sure enough…one twin was released after 9 days and the other was released after 11 days… and finally we were ready to come home… My point to this..is that during the whole time when the girls were in the hospital…I stayed at a Ronald Mc Donald House…..which is a place for families of children and loved ones in the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. The Ronald Mc Donald House gave me and my family not only a place to stay near the hospital, food, and other necessities…but they also have Thanksgiving dinners, give Christmas presents to those guests who are at the house throughout the holidays, and they had a carriage ride for the children to enjoy…... Basically it is a foundation that tries to make a what is a very stressful, terrifying, vulnerable and emotional time into a very memorable one, where you feel comfortable and loved and that you are not alone during some very difficult times. The volunteers are dedicated to help each family as much as they can. The Ronald Mc Donald houses are charity based and provide a huge service to each and every child and family that they help… And….To try to repay the help that they gave to me and my family…This year for every card or any other work that is sold until Christmas.. I will donate all the proceeds to the Ronald McDonald house..so that they can further help children and families in need.. If you would like to read about this charity… try here I hope that linked worked… Sorry this was so long!! / Suni

Who would have ever thought that 3yrs ago, while I am just starting my photography career seriously. I join a photography website in hopes my work will sell. That this woman who happened to comment on my work and started giving me tips would end up helping thru the years in my photography. Surely not I. She has been such a true and real friend, which is so hard to find now a days. She is the one who has helped me improve and progress. I cant put into words how much her friendship means to me, and I am sure anyone else who’s path has crossed with her, feels the same way. She is an angel in disguise, willing and having helped everyone that she has come to meet. Im sure there are so many people that can probably tell the same story as myself. Not to mention an awesome photographer herself, and a Master in Photoshop (best I have ever seen). Friday she started bleeding internally, of course she had to go straight to the hospital immediately. After losing 3 pints of blood, and dozens of tests, they finally found the problem this morning. She has a hole in her colon along w/ a blockage. Today she had to have emergency surgery to try to fix this problem. So Im asking that anyone and everyone that reads this, and a lot will probably know her, since we all at one time were on the same photography site. Her name….Marianne Venegoni So along w/ those of us who had the honor of hanging out w/ her just at the beginning of this month, need help in more prayers sent her way, so this problem can be fixed, and she can get back to a halfass normal life again. It breaks my heart a person like Marianne has to go thru this, it just isnt fair. Why does it always seem the good ones always have to go thru such terrible things. I dont think I will ever understand that. Im not a real religious guy, yes I do believe in God, but…I dont believe in churches. I know I have asked for the strength for her to pull thru this, and I’m asking others to help me out. For those that do, I’d like to thank you now. She needs all the prayers she can get right now. It’s really hard especially when she is hundreds of miles from me and the others. If I could get away with it, I’d head down there. So it isnt like I can just go hang out at the hospital. Sometimes this internet is a good thing..but on the other side of the coin, it’s frustrating as well. So once again, to those that do help us out in sending some serious well wishes…..I cant thank you enough, my words wont ever express what your help really means to me. All I can say…is …thank you.

Well it doesn’t look like this year will start off very good… / My step father managed to catch pneumonia (he’s 68) but has already had 5 strokes (4 of them very minor). plus he’ s a fairly heavy smoker ..and is losing his mind… / could be alzheimers or from the strokes..who knows really… but he collapsed on tuesday – his eyes glassed over and he landed on the floor. / the ambulance took him to the hospital they said it was pneumonia and that they were going to keep him there…and then yesterday they had to put a tube down his throat because something was blocked (he couldn’‘t ge the mucus out)..and then they were going to have to transfer him to another hospital because there were no beds available at that hospital in intensive care. So…they shipped him to another hospital (way across town) and put him in intensive care there..he still has the tube down his throat…to breathe..the nurses there said he was near death because he was already turning blue….. / and its immediate family only for where he is..yes..I count..but I am sick myself.. / so..I don’t know that I can go visit him. My real father passed away last year..and was in the hospital at the same time as my step father was having his knee replacement surgery last may… / only thing was ..my dad was at a hospital around an hour or so out of winnipeg..and my step dad was here..but not at a close hospital either..so I spent a lot of time last april and may running back and forth between the 2… / now.. / here we go again…its only 1 this time..but this will be harder to get over if he passes away then it was when my real father passed away. Because I know my stepfather better… / my father never really paid any attention to the fact that I was alive.so… / I dunno.. / i’m kinda down today

Now that Spring is upon us and many are trying to grow a green thumb, I thought I’d share some of this basic info with you in hopes of preventing any pet-related tragedies. (Note: I’m pulling this info from the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center) 17 Common Poisonous Plants Lilies / Members of the Lilium spp. are considered to be highly toxic to cats. While the poisonous component has not yet been identified, it is clear that with even ingestions of very small amounts of the plant, severe kidney damage could result. Marijuana / Ingestion of Cannabis sativa by companion animals can result in depression of the central nervous system and incoordination, as well as vomiting, diarrhea, drooling, increased heart rate, and even seizures and coma. Sago Palm / All parts of Cycas Revoluta are poisonous, but the seeds or “nuts” contain the largest amount of toxin. The ingestion of just one or two seeds can result in very serious effects, which include vomiting, diarrhea, depression, seizures and liver failure. Tulip/Narcissus bulbs / The bulb portions of Tulipa/Narcissus spp. contain toxins that can cause intense gastrointestinal irritation, drooling, loss of appetite, depression of the central nervous system, convulsions and cardiac abnormalities. Azalea/Rhododendron / Members of the Rhododenron spp. contain substances known as grayantoxins, which can produce vomiting, drooling, diarrhea, weakness and depression of the central nervous system in animals. Severe azalea poisoning could ultimately lead to coma and death from cardiovascular collapse. Oleander / All parts of Nerium oleander are considered to be toxic, as they contain cardiac glycosides that have the potential to cause serious effects—including gastrointestinal tract irritation, abnormal heart function, hypothermia and even death. Castor Bean / The poisonous principle in Ricinus communis is ricin, a highly toxic protein that can produce severe abdominal pain, drooling, vomiting, diarrhea, excessive thirst, weakness and loss of appetite. Severe cases of poisoning can result in dehydration, muscle twitching, tremors, seizures, coma and death. Cyclamen / Cylamen species contain cyclamine, but the highest concentration of this toxic component is typically located in the root portion of the plant. If consumed, Cylamen can produce significant gastrointestinal irritation, including intense vomiting. Fatalities have also been reported in some cases. Kalanchoe / This plant contains components that can produce gastrointestinal irritation, as well as those that are toxic to the heart, and can seriously affect cardiac rhythm and rate. Yew / Taxus spp. contains a toxic component known as taxine, which causes central nervous system effects such as trembling, incoordination, and difficulty breathing. It can also cause significant gastrointestinal irritation and cardiac failure, which can result in death. Amaryllis / Common garden plants popular around Easter, Amaryllis species contain toxins that can cause vomiting, depression, diarrhea, abdominal pain, hypersalivation, anorexia and tremors. Autumn Crocus / Ingestion of Colchicum autumnale by pets can result in oral irritation, bloody vomiting, diarrhea, shock, multi-organ damage and bone marrow suppression. Chrysanthemum / These popular blooms are part of the Compositae family, which contain pyrethrins that may produce gastrointestinal upset, including drooling, vomiting and diarrhea, if eaten. In certain cases depression and loss of coordination may also develop if enough of any part of the plant is consumed. English Ivy / Also called branching ivy, glacier ivy, needlepoint ivy, sweetheart ivy and California ivy, Hedera helix contains triterpenoid saponins that, should pets ingest, can result in vomiting, abdominal pain, hypersalivation and diarrhea. Peace Lily (AKA Mauna Loa Peace Lily) / Spathiphyllum contains calcium oxalate crystals that can cause oral irritation, excessive drooling, vomiting, difficulty in swallowing and intense burning and irritation of the mouth, lips and tongue in pets who ingest. Pothos / Pothos (both Scindapsus and Epipremnum) belongs to the Araceae family. If chewed or ingested, this popular household plant can cause significant mechanical irritation and swelling of the oral tissues and other parts of the gastrointestinal tract. Schefflera / Schefflera and Brassaia actinophylla contain calcium oxalate crystals that can cause oral irritation, excessive drooling, vomiting, difficulty in swallowing and intense burning and irritation of the mouth, lips and tongue in pets who ingest. A more comprehensive list of plants poisonous to pets _What flora should be forbidden in your home, pet parents? Dr. Steven Hansen, veterinary toxicologist & ASPCA Senior Vice President, shows you examples of the most common potentially dangerous plants A LIST OF HOUSEHOLD PLANTS THAT ARE PET-FRIENDLY Want to send flowers to someone? *Be sure they are safe for pets! Here are some suggestions from 1-800-FLOWERS.com that include options like dendrobium orchids, violets and gerbera daisies, and more. (Use promotion code ASPCA when ordering and 1-800-FLOWERS.com will donate 10 percent of the net proceeds from your purchase to the ASPCA!) Please note that while the flowers shown are considered to be nontoxic, it’s important to keep in mind that even “safe” plants can produce minor stomach upset if ingested. Here’s a list of the most common food hazards you should be aware of! Experts at the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center urge you to avoid feeding the following foods to your pet: • Alcoholic beverages / • Avocado / • Chocolate (all forms) / • Coffee (all forms) / • Fatty foods / • Macadamia nuts / • Moldy or spoiled foods / • Onions, onion powder / • Raisins and grapes / • Salt / • Yeast dough / • Garlic / • Products sweetened with xylitol Additional foods that may be potentially hazardous. Ibuprofen and Aspirin Ibuprofen can definitely be toxic to dogs and other pets—even in small amounts. Depending on the dose ingested, significant gastrointestinal damage or even kidney damage could result. Drugs, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatories like aspirin, can cause serious or potentially life-threatening problems, depending on the dose involved. In fact, many drugs that are beneficial to humans can be harmful or even deadly for pets. Never give your pet any medication without first speaking with his or her regular veterinarian. If you feel that your pet needs pain relief for any reason, get in touch with your veterinarian—if you have not already. Your vet can direct you regarding the best dose to use or, if necessary, can prescribe a different pain reliever. And while most human medications are contained in child-proof bottles, these containers are not pet-proof. Pets can easily chew and break open packaging, so medications should always be stored in a secure cabinet above the countertop. A Poison Safe Home WHAT TO DO IF YOUR PET IS POISONED • Don’t panic. Rapid response is important, but panicking can interfere with the process of helping your pet. • Take 30 to 60 seconds to safely collect and have at hand any material involved. This may be of great benefit to your vet and/or APCC toxicologists, as they determine what poison or poisons are involved. In the event that you need to take your pet to a local veterinarian, be sure to take the product’s container with you. Also, collect in a sealable plastic bag any material your pet may have vomited or chewed. • If you witness your pet consuming material that you suspect might be toxic, do not hesitate to seek emergency assistance, even if you do not notice any adverse effects. Sometimes, even if poisoned, an animal may appear normal for several hours or for days after the incident. Call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center or your vet immediately. The telephone number is (888) 426-4435. There is a $60 consultation fee for this service. Be ready with the following information: / - the species, breed, age, sex, weight and number of animals involved / - the animal’s symptoms / - information regarding the exposure, including the agent (if known), the amount of the agent involved and the time elapsed since the time of exposure. Have the product container/packaging available for reference. Please note: If your animal is having seizures, losing consciousness, is unconscious or is having difficulty breathing, telephone ahead and bring your pet immediately to your local veterinarian or emergency veterinary clinic. If necessary, he or she may call the APCC. Be Prepared / Keep the telephone number of the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center—(888) 426-4435—as well as that of your local veterinarian, in a prominent location. Invest in an emergency first-aid kit for your pet. The kit should contain: / - a fresh bottle of hydrogen peroxide, 3 percent USP (to induce vomiting) / - a turkey baster, bulb syringe or large medicine syringe (to administer peroxide) / - saline eye solution / - artificial tear gel (to lubricate eyes after flushing) / - mild grease-cutting dishwashing liquid (for bathing an animal after skin contamination) / - forceps (to remove stingers) / - a muzzle (to protect against fear- or excitement-induced biting) / - a can of your pet’s favorite wet food / -a pet carrier Always consult a veterinarian or the APCC for directions on how and when to use any emergency first-aid item. GET A FREE PET SAFETY PACK! / In the event of an emergency, the pet rescue window decal alerts rescue personnel that pets are inside your home. The pack also includes an ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center magnet—a great way to keep the APCC’s toll-free emergency number handy at all times! Order one now. So yes, school is over! I finally got my grades today, and I passed all my subjects! Hooray for me! =D Summer holiday can finally start. Well it already started Monday, but I’ve been sick since then and have spent most of my time in bed. Seems I have a viral infection on my throat (which is extremely sore) and an infection on my jaw (the parts near the ear, where it connects to the skull… yeah I hadn’t heard of this before). I can barely hear through my ears, my nose is absolutely stuffed (and my skin there is all painful because I need to keep cleaning my nose, ewww), leading to a constant headache, as well as a very annoying cough. Oh, and I don’t have enough iron in my body so I need to take pills for that as well. Wheeee. =P So yeah, I was hoping to be drawing already by now, but I really can’t get my body (and mind) to do any of that stuff. All I seem to be able to do is sleep (and even then I keep waking up all the time) and just sit around doing nothing. Sorry! Hopefully I can come back into action soon!

I may be in and out of the Bubble for the next few days as I was at the hospital ALL night with my dad. He was in a lot of pain from his abdomen and back last night, so my mom and I took him to the emergency room in the wee hours of the morning. I was there until now – just got home. It has felt like a long day, even though it is barely 2PM here. They did tests and discharged him not knowing what was wrong, so I am still worried beyond belief. He is resting now but has appointments all this week for tests and such. And, I am sure I will be helping out to take him because my mom is partially disabled and might not be able to handle it alone. I hate not knowing answers when something is wrong, so I am doubly worried!! I also found out that my grandmother (my mom’s mom) is not feeling well, so I may have to take a nap and head over there as well. My poor mother is feeling it from all sides and she usually leans on me for support in times like these. PLUS, we have family coming from Wales to stay with us for a month and we have been rushing to get ready. So, as you can imagine, all of this has really put a cog in our plans! So much stress!! So all I ask (especially from the groups I co-host and everyone who I have yet to leave comments for) is for a little patience. Life has been hitting me hard lately, but I have been trying my best. I will catch up with everything when I am back to full force in a few days. I just keep telling myself that hard times only make you stronger. I guess I always try to find the silver lining. My love to you all!! ~ Brian/BChris :o]

The word that strikes fear into horse owner…Colic. / Before today I had never (thank goodness) had to experience this. Those of you who dont know of my mare, Matilda (Known as Tilly), she is an older mare, Bay breeding stock Paint (Meaning no colour): / Tilly This morning at about 8 my younger brother and I headed out to the paddock to catch the horses, planning to go riding. We saw the other mare, Adina, standing under a tree but no sight of Tilly. Suddenly my brother yelled and pointed and I saw the shape of a horse lying on the ground. My heart felt like it was ripped from my chest as I dropped the bridle I was carrying and ran across the paddock towards her. / I slowed down getting closer to her and there was no movement, I really didn’t feel like it was me walking towards her, it felt like a nightmare. As I called out to her, she suddenly lifted her head, I was relieved but as I got closer she didn’t get up. / When I reached her she sighed and then her neck streched out across the ground, gasping for breath . By that time I was sobbing, she looked so weak. We tried to get her up but couldn’t. All the time I was praying and I realized just how much I love her. / My mother rang some friends, and I finally managed to get Till up and walking, as I thought it would have to be colic. / For a few hours we walked, stopped, she tried to lay down again, we walked and rested. Finally she passed wind and manure and wanted to drink water. / Now she’s acting normal, I’m watching her closely but the worst is over we believe. I talked to a friend who is a horse expert (also the old owner of Tilly) and we did everything right it seems. So it has been a crazy morning, I’m so relieved that she is looking better now. I thought that I might have lost her and it really shook me.

I just got a phone call from my mom telling me that my father has been hospitalized. They think it is his heart this time and are doing tests. I have to get ready and run over to the hospital to see him before they close, but I just wanted to ask for prayers first. Thank you so much to you all. I am so emotional right now. Have to go. xoxoxoxox… Bri / UPDATE 10/29/08 Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts!!!! All of the angels you sent to my dad really did help him! He is not out of the woods yet, but he is back home and resting well. He was released tonight because they found that it was not his heart and it was not a stroke. Rather, it was a combination of his diabetes and bals palsy. His eyes have been severely affected and he still needs much recovery, but he is in much better spirits knowing that it was not as bad as the doctor’s first suspected. Again, thank you for all the love and prayers! I really do appreciate you all being there for me during these times!!! Much love to you all!! I will keep you updated! xoxoxoxoxo, Bri :)

This / Just made my day. So today, i spent the day in the Emergency Room after passing out on the L-train on my way to work. I have some chronic health issues, and sometimes extreme pain makes me wipe out in the most inconvenient places. / I’m sure that i looked like some kind of skinny junkie, all black-cirlces under my eyes and twitching around like a fish out of water on the nasty L-car floor. / Then i spent 6 hours getting poked in the arm (so now i really DO look like a junkie) by inept nurses, only to be told there’s nothing i can do about this particular condition. BUT – i came home only to find this lovely portrait of me by the incredibly talented (and lovely) Mimi Yoon Thank you, Mimi – for adding a HUGE silver lining to my otherwise jacked-up day! / xo / Selkie

So i’m gonna be a little less active on the Bubble as i recover from Bronchitis. The asthma decided to mutate and now i’m a big, wheezing, feverish blob of pulsating mucous. I’ve taken one or two photos whilst high as a kite on the medication, but basically they’re just portraits of me looking stoned out of my mind (one of them is with the Piglet, both of us with the wild-giggles and maniacal grins). I’ll prolly post one just for shits and giggles. / Maybe throw up an old piece or two for the hell of it. So, don’t be mad if i’m not visiting as much (never mind my lack of creative mojo). Woke up midnight last Tuesday night feeling clammy and sick with an awful pain in my chest. Husband Dennis found me collpased on the floor in the bathroom a few minutes later. Couldn’t move…couldn’t breathe properly…horrible pain in chest….passed out…carted off in ambulance. Hospital kept me hooked up to a cardiac monitor for a couple of days and watched me through a one way glass window. Had some tests. No real damage done. Gotta take it easy and lower my cholesterol levels, they reckon. I managed to do some sketching of my own hands while I was tied up in bed (to the machine!). Came home today – feeling much better. Nothing like a good brush with your own mortality to make you appreciate the beauty in the world. Life is precious. Back to painting! I called upon the name of the Lord and He saved me.

  • I'm so sick of FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! (Ad VS. Reality photo included)

Have you ever seen those mouth watering ad’s time and time again giving you so many promises and are so relentless that you just have to buy it? So you think OK I will, so proceed to buy the said advertised edible item. The price they advertise always seemed way lower than expected once you empty your wallet for it, usually because they only advertise the price of the smallest version of the item without letting you know that… naturally. BUT then… you open it only to find you’ve been RIPPED OFF and duped into buying something that barely resembles the ad whatsoever! so small and WAY less toppings or filling etc Here’s one example of one item I just HAD to try because of how great the ad looked… but to my dismay it was extremely misleading with chicken pouring out of the front of the wrap and the wrap being so thick and full of chicken and looking to good, PFFFFT! LIES! It had SOME chicken.. all piled in the back, mostly lettuce in this, but that was it, and not nearly as thick as the ad, or even as cooked, barely what I’d called grilled chicken. This goes for their burgers and chicken pieces and snack boxes and wraps etc etc, all the same bullshit rip off… I have so little faith in advertising now, and this is a tiny example of the depths of the false advertising from pretty much every company trying to sell something! I never believe these ad’s anymore… unless they show me the made item before I buy it, which is never pretty much. Ever seen those pizza ad’s? they are a huge rip off in their advertising, I swear to god I payed $3 extra just for some pepperoni once, and they put an overwhelming >>5<< single pieces on my pizza! I counted them… ridiculous! lol, and the fact the pizzas are getting so small there is no such thing as a large pizza anymore, and so little toppings or anything, unless you pay a fortune to add extra which still does NOT look anything like the photos they bullshit you with, they are anorexic pizzas! lol Packets of chips are a joke now, barely a pathetic third full… but packed full of air so you can’t feel the tiny amount in the bottom lol, I remember those ad’s where the chips were actually out of the top of the packet, they don’t exist anymore naturally lol, but when I was a kid the chips were actually mostly full… sigh Even macca’s is the same, funny how they advertise a burger now but nobody ever holds the burger and takes a bite in the ads… don’t want people to see how TINY their burgers have become do they! lol Hungry jacks is actually not far from their ad’s at least, and value for money, they are my fav for fast food when I need to trust one lol, or an actually normal burger and chips shop, they are OK sometimes. Now I’m not a huge fast food eater anyway, I like to eat healthy and stay fit and only have a bit of poison occasionally lol, I just wish when I did it was worth it for those few minutes of stolen indulgence :P sadly it’s not. Anyways I don’t want to rant all day lol, but things used to be so much more HONEST in advertising… you got what you seen and paid for pretty much, no more sadly, profits win over customer satisfaction these days… fuckers, I hope you all get rats balls in your cheeseburgers! Enjoy. Jay.

  • Is RB "soliciting feedback" on new policies and rules a "RED HERRING"???

HI! / Many of you will be aware there has been somewhat of an upheaval across this website these past weeks regarding in general – the rules and policies re expected behaviour and how they have been enforced. In response to this, RB admin and management are working really hard to put together as clear a statement re what is, and what is not acceptable behaviour, and what the resultant penalty for ‘overstepping’ any particular mark should be. Excellent!!! They now have an (apparently draft) document on this that is beginning it’s process of ‘solicited feedback’, firstly by having been assessed by RB staff, currently it is available to group hosts to view and comment on, and sometime (soon, I expect) it should be made available to the general RB membership to add their feedback. This is all a very fine, extremely difficult and confusing (due to the already extremely varied viewpoints expressed) and SLOW process. I have read the proposed new rules and guidelines pdf document I believe now 7 times, making notes as I go. On the whole, there are a few rather minor issues that I believe MAY be queried re how they are to be defined and enforced, but overall, everything is extremely clear and well set out. The earlier ‘rules and policies’ (when I finally found them) I ALSO thought were quite clear, well set out and defined. The one major difference between these 2 documents is that the new one allows for a ‘review process’ for those who wish to activate it, whereas there was no recourse to review before. / This is, in principle, a truly EXCELLENT addition to the rules and guidelines. So far – all fine and good and excellent??? Yes??? With, in my honest and truly thought through opinion, ONE EXTREMELY SERIOUS OMISSION WHICH IS BEING TOTALLY IGNORED AS EVERYONE (well – only hosts so far) RUSH TO AIR THEIR OPINIONS AND ARGUE OVER THE FINE PRINT IN THE NEW GUIDELINES – AS WELL AS ISSUES NOT IN THE NEW GUIDELINES AT ALL (LOL)....... The primary reason there was a great upheaval and huge anger and disillusionment throughout the RB community was NOT the ‘enforcement of any rule or guideline per se’. The primary reason for the huge upheavals and the extremely upsetting and destructive arguing in the forums over the past weeks was the PERCEPTION OF UNFAIR AND INCONSISTENT APPLICATION OF RULES AND GUIDELINES. RB management HAS ADMITTED that, since it’s not well advertised assumption of altered rules in February, it’s application of those rules HAS NOT BEEN CONSISTENT OR FAIR. Nowhere in this new document, or in any of the information provided to, or solicited (from so far only staff and hosts) does Red Bubble management provide ANY information at all on how they intend to implement not just this new rules and policy document (in whatever slightly edited form it may finally see the light of day), but also on how they intend to firstly make sure that these new guidelines and rules are implemented CONSISTENTLY AND FAIRLY, and, how they are going to be made to BE SEEN TO BE IMPLEMENTED CONSISTENTLY AND FAIRLY. If the previous rules were unable to be administered consistently and fairly – what reason does anyone at this point in time have to consider that the implementation of ANY format of ANY rules and guidelines will in future be able to be more fair and consistent than to this point in time? In my honest opinion – an EXTREMELY BIG HOLE in RB management’s response to the recent upheavals. I would hope this could be addressed well BEFORE any potential new rules and guidelines need be submitted to ANY feedback at all….. I welcome any and all opinions here on this – my statement of my opinion. However, I will not reply to any comments left here until, at the earliest – sometime tomorrow. / I am, at the moment, extremely tired. I have spent by far the greater proportion of the past weeks on RB policy and procedure issues, with virtually NO time to myself and / or my artwork. For the sake of my sanity, I am now, on posting this journal, going to turn my internet off, and concentrate for a bit on what I should be spending most of my time doing – my photography (as well as resting lol). / I resolve truly to not delete any comments here that may disagree with what I have written – I am interested in fair and open expression for all. / Cheers - / Kallena xx

Hey everyone, I haven’t been very active here just because I’ve been super busy lately. And in the last 3 days I’ve come down with a bad sinus infection. I feel mostly bed ridden…. sucks to be sick on Christmas…. hopefully I’ll get well soon. But the doctor has me doing sinus rinses and using nose spray. I’m surprisingly in a lot of discomfort because my sinuses are very swollen. I did a recent photo project and have some planned. But it’s all going to have to be post-poned before I can show you here at RedBubble. I hope everyone has a good holiday.
