Ok, I admit, I made it rain on the poor spider’s home. Not only did I chase it, but I flooded it’s home with water from spray bottle. I couldn’t wait for the real rain to fall, in case the spider’s web disappeared. All I’ve done to the image is brighten it up and place a slight little frame around bottom edge.

Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / This was designed over the last few days while doing a series of bride illustrations for a friend. I thought they might look sweet on cards. It is drawn on paper with a very thin black pen. May be nice for a bridal shower.
My tribute to a talented photographer, imaginative thinker and caring friend who also happens to make wonderful images with bathtubs. See her full Bathtub Portraiture series here Taken while on holiday in the communal bathroom of ‘Old Hobart Centre’ on Liverpool Street.

Scabious is much too ugly a name for this delightful bloom (scabiosa) otherwise know as the pincushion flower. It’s a wonderfully long flowering perennial and older varieties have a gorgeous delicate fragrance. This particular plant is (even) older than me (! ? !) and has been carefully tended by my dad for decades as it came (via a removal van) from the house I was born in. Captured during a recent shower Its lovely scent is a great reminder of summers past. . . :))) Greenery is from a nearby heather and this was taken in the same rain as summer shower so it was well worth getting slightly damp! ;))

Taken after a heavy rain shower this morning Ricoh GX-100 APRIL SHOWERS MUSIC LINK The daisy features in a light-hearted love divination, the petals being plucked off singly with the words ‘He loves me, he loves me not’ till all are gone, the last one deciding the issue. Daisy-chains are made by slitting the stem with a thumb-nail, threading another through it, and repeating the process; since modern lawns have few weeds, the game is getting rarer. It was said that spring had truly arrived if one could set one’s foot on seven (or nine, or twelve) daisies at once.
Midnight In The Valley Here in the midnight, within the dark valley, shadows mingle with my yearning deeper, and sing I the hymns of want while the cool waters whisper over my skin. Thunder travels slowly away on the backs of the lightning. One after one nascent stars look down upon me with your eyes. Serene is the mood now from the vanishing storm-cloud, then all grows quiet while I chant your name. Shannon Donovan / May 6, 2009 / SP
