  • A one last shot of Coops Shot Tower at Melbourne Central.

  • David was playing the part of a young gravedigger in director Conor McMahons rural horror film “Dead Meat” where mad cow disease has infected the local population turning them into, well you guessed it flesh eating Zombies. This was Day 1 for David and he was just dressed up in rural garb about to fling himself in front of a car when I took this portrait of him in the fairy woods of Leitrim. / I love this portrait as it is timeless or more to the point it harks back to the Golden age of movie heroes and stars and David is one here.

  • Just a quick photoshoot that i did today, learning about Contemporary Food photography. Light from the back, fill from the front!

  • b&w version per request / original: / This was taken on my parent’s back porch on a Friday evening. Fridays are “family night” and generally the kids play outside but it was raining so my niece was watching the rain fall. I said her name and when she looked I took this photo. So that’s the story behind the title. :)

  • I have been dabbling lately with some street magic so was just a matter of time before I incorporated it into my art on here.

  • A photo of St-Simeon’s pier, the most beautiful place I saw when I went for my little 3 days trip. While taking this shot ,a nice couple on a moto talked to me ,I ask for a little auberge to sleep for the night and they decided to invite me to their home. That’s Quebec,I would have done the same but it was a first for me…couldn’t believe it.I sent some photos by email and they were very happy. They are living at five minutes from there in a beautiful place called La Malbaie near the St-Lawrence river. The same day in the afternoon I took «Pointe-au-Père» and in the evening the sky became lavander blue,a real dream. / / /

  • This is not one of the flowers from my show and “Poems for her” but will be in my book. I like many see such thing that make us want to do more but where do we draw the line an how much can we do. This is a poem about how I feel about these things. My eyes have seen a lot of things that many dare not see. / The suffering of the little ones that sleep in all the streets. / My eyes have seen many men locked out of life’s main stream. / And here I am with food enough for many mouths to eat. / My eyes have seen the little ones crying out for love! / While many are lying dead from hunger in some dirty house. / While their mommas arms stuck with needles as they slowly die. / An daddy’s never been a name that they’ll ever know. / I look at them so young and fresh and they too have a need. / That same drug that their mommas need their little body’s crave! / My eyes cry out and scream to you please see these little ones. / Their plight is not their making it comes from mans desires. / We make a world that fit for some and other fall aside. / As we with many close our eyes, and step with eyes so blind! / I see you there I am just one, my heart go’s out to you. / Lying there in streets so cold with no one there for you. / How is it that my eyes see you but in my mind I’ve died. / Is it that its all too much as I try to survive! / I want to help what can I do your way too gone for me. / My eyes cry out I look for help but none is in my site. / Your little cry’s that I can hear no others care about. / I cry for you at night my child I lie here in my bed. / And wish that I had more to give then just my eyes this day. / But what can I just one man do to lend a hand? / So here I lie in my bed crying in my pain. / I turn my eyes like many men for this I am ashame!

  • “Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. • Another take with beautiful model, singer and dancer Sydney Jo Jackson, who was a real pleasure to work with. The delightful Nicola Hamilton came over to do the make up at very short notice. Part of the brief was to produce some B/W shots, and as I was after a low key effect with smooth tones, I rigged a black tent arrangement to stop light bouncing around the room and give maximum density to the shadow areas. • Hate can be shown in various ways and do so all the time. The only way we can stop all the hatred going on I think is to show/help people to be more open minded. Nowdays nothing is longer “new” so the only reason alone why people still has to be such ignorant fools is that they don’t know any better. / This is my take on one way hatred often is shown, on somebody different. To be different suppose to be a good thing. To stand out from the “normal” crowd and mainstream living. Yet so many people is neglected and looked down upon by the very same reason. / To stand out is to be strong. To dare go against the modern society we have today and pursuit his/her way of living. This can be many many ways, gender, skin color, sexuality, dressing, talking etc etc, the list can be made into all eternity. It’s scary how many people still that lacks tolerance and respect/understanding towards new things. / I wonder when the rest of the world is going to have an open mind, if ever… Canon EOS 400D / Sigma 17-70 / F2.8-4.5 / ISO 100 / f/4.5 / 1/4 s / 33mm CS4 for vignetting & levels More works can be found over at DeviantART / and / rdblanche.com

Care for your close ones and bring the ones far away from you closer.
