  • This is our cat, ‘Charlie’, taken by my wife, Jo. I keep telling her she’s a great photographer! / Charlie is an 11-month-old, jet-black, Exotic Shorthair. / We call her ‘Squashie’ because of her flat face! Purchased from a breeder. / NEVER buy pets from a pet shop!

  • My British blue shorthair cat called Sapphire Blue or Saffy, for short. She just loves getting into boxes, sleeping on top of boxes etc. She is great company even when she is sleeping. I used a Canon DSLR EOS 350D with flash for this shot.

  • This German Shorthair Portrait is a signed, original, pastel and prismacolor pencil drawing. / Drawn on card stock, acid free artist drawing paper. / All of my drawings are sprayed with a final professional artist protective fixitive. “Custom Pet Portraits”is another area of my art work that I always return to and over the years I have helped preserve many a memorie for my buyers of the “Best Friends” that are still living or have passed over the rainbow bridge. These portraits have ranged from dogs, horses, hamsters and even fish in a bowl! I personally developed this sharp focus pastel and prismacolor pencil technique to make my drawings come alive. As with all of my artwork , my initials are on the front with full signature, title and date on back. / Size is 12’X12” / Thank you for viewing my art.

  • Nintu is an oriental shorthair / / EOS 350D + 18-85 4-5.6f IS USM canon lens / Postprocessing: increased contrast, black background is a black cloth / /

  • This is a detail phototgraph of one of my Pastel and Prismacolor Pencil Drawings… “German Shorthair Pointer”...I have drawn Custom Pet Portraits for over 30 years…to this day I have a waiting list of people who want these lasting images of their best friends, both living and those who have passed on. / Drawn on card stock, acid free, bonded artist drawing paper. This is again a study in just lines and blocks of color and blending. I try and get my students to see just the line of a shape, and blocks of color that you put close together and blend the harsh lines. This is the classic “Right Brain” approach to just trying to get something on canvas or drawing paper…stop naming what you see and just draw the shapes and the apply the colors. This drawing is another in a series I have started by request, for my private students so they have easier access to my collection in detail for study. / My Fine Art and Photograph Studio is located in Mesquite, Nevada. / Thank your for viewing my art.
