You’ll notice in the background there are these pewter mugs hanging proudly, they belong to the President’s Eleven, which is a special group of players who are allowed to have free beer on Saturday nights in the clubrooms after a game… it’s a special club – I’m not that good at cricket yet to join… maybe one day!

What do you get when you put my bullet belt, my shecter, me in cheetah stilettos and fishnet and a 10 second timer? you get this motha licker / (haha, old gregg reference) like the common “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll” motto, i’ve put my interpritation on it. sex (the fishnets and stilettos) drugs (bullet belt) rock n’ roll (guitar) / now for the whole drugs thing, its a common thing among rock stars to be druggies or alcoholics, and the music scene i’m most into is the punk/ska scene, with one of the trademarks being the bullet belt (and my zebra guitar strap fits in nicely with it)

I’m taking photos of people with their favourite item of clothing and asking them about it. Tell me about your red boots. / These boots are made by Alannah Hill (who is not particularly one of my favourite designers but I fell in love with these boots at first sight!) I think they are just perfect! I love the colour, the brooch and the red ribbons. They are just so me! Unfortunately they are not the easiest heel to walk in so I don’t get to wear them too much, and I like to save them for special occasions so they have a bigger impact on the people who see / them! What’s the story behind you getting them? / Like all of my shoes, they were an impulse buy. I just can’t help but whip out my credit card when I see new shoes! My friend was working at the store where I purchased them at the time so I got them a little cheaper which helped sweeten the deal! So, why exactly do you love shoes so much? / I need one in every colour to go with my outfits, every style for different comfort levels, moods and seasons. Shoes to go with stockings and classic vintage heels that every girl must own! I can’t part with shoes, they have to be broken beyond repair or stolen from me. Inspired by Tracy Wallace’s image entitled Clumsy Misfortunes I wondered what would become of the girlclown – would she stay with the circus, never getting enough of the crowd applauding her clumsy misfortunes on stage? With Tracy’s permission, I was able to use her image as inspiration for this image – “all grown up”. Tracy’s image is seen here: Image taken with point&shoot canon, a texture layer was created using ink and sponges onto textured paper then scanned via scanner. this was then darkened in PS, more editing including burning and additional image layers used to create this final version.
