Let firm, well hammer’d soles protect thy feet / Through freezing snows, and rains, and soaking sleet; / Should the big last extend the shoe too wide, / Each stone will wrench the unwary step aside; / The sudden turn may stretch the swelling vein, / The cracking joint unhinge, or ankle sprain; / And when too short the modish shoes are worn, / You’ll judge the seasons by your shooting corn. / —John Gay / / ..................................... / Click here to add me to your watch list. / .....................................

Love these shoes. Not really that old but being white they look tired quickly. Oh they are “Von Dutch” if your wondering as apposed to “cons” that everyone photograghs.
The Chronicles Of Fixation. As the year comes to a close, I am reminded of the following Scripture: Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he. It is a powerful reminder to fix our eyes on Jesus. Where there is movement, there is always opposition. The trials and tribulations come from different angles and directions; in different forms and shapes; in different hues and cues. These set of images are an intimate look into the world I have been privileged to see, the steps I have been fortunate to make, the errors in my judgment, the opportunities I have ignored; the mercies followed in the morning; and the Word that remains the perfect example.

I love taking photos of my favorite shoes. I like this one because you can see the details in the shoe itself, plus the ‘details’ like the laces, eyelets, etc.
