Bacon in North America is SO much different than bacon back in Oz. Still… comes from the same place, don’t it? ;o)
Photographic based digital montage, 2007 (no 2 from series of 3 re-worked). Shot two seperate models & P/S combined them. I also draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, the body, the dress, added a fringe to the face, hid the eyes, made the features more angular, blew up the lips, created cheekbones, reworked the branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended the chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated the lot & added a sepia tone. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers.

I wanted a image, that I think of alot about. This Poem was written by Vanesse Cathleen who is here on redbubble, i thought it suited this image. The Party Is Over You have been traveling down a one way street. / That will only take you to your personal defeat. It all starts out having fun with your friends / but it doesn’t take long until the parting ends. Your life gets hard, your funds get low, / depression begins to creep in slow. You have warn yourself out, your body is tired. / Your brain is warped yet, you keep getting wired. Your party has lasted a little too long. / No one will listen to your sad twisted song. Now you are traveling a little to fast / and it’s about time to make this all part / of your past. You are near the end / What will you do? Drive on… Drive off… / It’s Up To You!!! The classic tale of science gone wrong, wrapped up in a B-Movie. Who can forget the immortal line at the end: ‘If thine eye offends thee, pluck it out’. Ray Miland at his best—either this or Dial M for Murder. Certainly better than all those times he appeared in Columbo as an incompetent killer.
hehe – I absolutely love this shot. Its not the best shot I have of this beautiful, all black kitten, but I just love the expression on her face in this. It is a reaction to the flash of the previous shot. This little one is coming along nicely, and actually came out into the living room for a play last night – although it was murder trying to catch her afterwards. I am going to make donations to the Cats Protection league, and will include donations based on any sales of this image. For every card sold, I will donate a tin of cat food, for anything higher than a card, I will donate £1.00 This will be in addition to the donation I will be making personally.

This shot grew out of boredom but evolved into something I really like and feel strongly about – despite the multiple interpretations of bubblers – which I also love. The idea was to present a comment on the shift for those being oppressed to then becoming manipulated into mainstream and becoming the oppressors – from marginal to mainstream, from radical to conservative. The recent history of the gay and lesbian liberation movement has resulted in creating new generation ‘queers’ – turning past activists into consumers, which can hold high moral grounds, or previously less visible middle class conservative values. This shot depicts the pretentious scandal and affectations, when ‘scandal’ or shock value was often the modus operandi of the gay and lesbian liberation movement in the past. This illustration was done for the quake survivors in Sichuan, China. The meaning of this illustration is two-fold: First, I imagine if there were a huge panda (Sichuan is very well known for their pandas), so huge that it was able to absorb all the effects of the quake, people could have been enjoying lives peacefully. Second, the panda signifies the rescuers, supporters, donators from everywhere, they work together to give the victims and the survivors peace.

I came home this evening and had a wonderful surprise awaiting me. John / Pryere had sent me this link Sophie Shapiro when I looked I could hardly believe my eyes. I was so moved I wanted to share it with you all. Surprises happened when one is least expecting it. I haven’t got the words presently to describe what I feel, expect a big thank you to John. I have dedicated this painting to John. Which is called Peregrino (Pilgrim) Painting in Acrylics, pigment and metallic leaf / 42×100 cm Music by Spacer
