A bit of industry around Footscray in Melbourne. I like that there are light trails from a car which passed in the foreground, small star trails from the 30second exposure, the movement of smoke and even a light trail from an airplane which passed during the exposure (probably not visible in the small screen image). So much movement when seemingly nothing was really happening!
I took this photo while vacationing on the Gold Coast. This is a lovely little headland called Fingal Head. A cute little lighthouse sits on top of the headland and keeps watch over the ocean. The light you see in the sky is actually the moon (blown out) and the bright star to the right is Venus.
A dreamy woodland scene. but what lies beyond the warming rays?
This is using the tilt/shift technique. I had a flight over the city a while ago. Voted in the top ten of the Best Treatment Group – SydneyOpera House / .

Ok…another Fingal shot. I can really say that this is one of my top 5 locations. Just love the versatility it provides. This shot has been PP using CS3 tilt shift technique. If you need explanations how that works you best ask Mel ...hehe / Let me know what you think? / Make sure you check the colour version too

‘Shift Happens’ / 24″ x 18″ / oils / Finished sides, needs no frame, ready to hang / Here are the quotes that brought this work along: / “We so easily forget that we came into life with nothing. Whatever we get soon seems our natural right, not a gift. And we forget the giver. Then our gaze shifts from what we have been given to what we don’t have yet. . . .” / Henry B. Eyring “One and one make two” assumes that the changes in the shift of circumstance are unimportant. But it is impossible for us to analyze this notion of unimportant change. / Alfred Whitehead (1861 – 1947) While spending all my internal thinking time, thinking about the nature and reality of my current life and the / world that seems to be crashing down around my ears…again, I have found a sort of peaceful / anxiety or pressure inside my creative world. It seems that if I am so preoccupied with the crazy / world outside my studio door, the easier it is for me to completely give myself over to moments of / addictive creation. This work happened by it’s self. I needed to sort the conflicting drama of what / we have to do too survive the coming year into something tangible. I found that I don’t fear the / weathering of storms and such, as much as I dread the loss of convenience, I know I can get through and / past that “base” human selfish, addicted thinking. Difficulty first battles in the mind, then on the / field of reality. With that…Even the chaotic can be strangely beautiful. I really like this work. I discovered something new about my fears, running towards them makes my / life bigger, not smaller. I learned something new and I want some more…please. Thanks for being here, / Heather

Just playing around with this tilt shift effect. Stanley Hotel Estes Park Co. / Canon 40d
Shortly before shooting this building I was asked to desist from photographing, so I moved a few metres to apparently stop being a security threat. I saw RED and this is the edited result, flipped and in duplicate.

TK Rosevear 7/29/09 This poem was inspired after reading a book today by Owen Waters called “The Shift”. An amazing confirmation of our stepping forward into New Reality consciousness, to experience new vistas of awareness and new levels of creativity. Following our hearts to express our inner joys through making our own meaningful contribution to the betterment of the world. I am grateful and believe that it is truly a great time to be alive! Something a little different, a collage of images I’ve taken while at work when I’m doing night shifts (as a railway worker). Some tasks can afford some most unusual photographic opportunities. I generally like working at night, even in the depths of winter. All taken with Ricoh GX-100

Nikon D80 / Tamron 11-18 lens / It may look like noise in the water, but it is actually small waves. The sand is so white. To appreciate the size and expanse of this place, you can see a very large yacht just left of the centre midline horizontally and vertically. Featured in “SEA”
