A splash frozen in time. A cherry dropped into a glass of water breaks an infra red beam, triggering a high speed flash. An exposure time of 1/30,000s captures every detail.

I have this Climate shift art up on redbubble before I fixed up I did not realy like the colour and light before and I made it much higher res better for print.

From the series “Lit by the Dark of the Shadow’. This image was the grand-daddy of them all – on the wall at 1300×900mm, whilst the other 13 were 700×500mm. I chose to do this one large as it pretty much summed up everything I wanted to address with this show. Journey and exploration, choice and consequence, and polarities such as ego and shadow, light and dark, positive and negative. We each present a side of us to the world that is bathed in light, goodness and fertility. We hide or suppress our darkness, our ugly bits of which we’re ashamed. My question within this show is, if we each acknowledge or experience our own shadow are we not more knowledgable about ourselves, and consequently the world we exist in?

I took this photo while vacationing on the Gold Coast. This is a lovely little headland called Fingal Head. A cute little lighthouse sits on top of the headland and keeps watch over the ocean. The light you see in the sky is actually the moon (blown out) and the bright star to the right is Venus.

Just trying something new.

This was taken in Sorrento, Italy and it is my first crack at ‘miniatures’ or ‘tilt shift’ photography, using Photoshop. This was also originally taken on film and scanned to digital.

A bit of industry around Footscray in Melbourne. I like that there are light trails from a car which passed in the foreground, small star trails from the 30second exposure, the movement of smoke and even a light trail from an airplane which passed during the exposure (probably not visible in the small screen image). So much movement when seemingly nothing was really happening!

A woodland scene that could have been captured millions of years ago…
