I had a great day with the Family at Shellharbour today. Took a whole heap of photos. This is a sunset shot, I think the colours came out wuite nice. I also like the rays of light from behind the clouds. There will be lots more photos posted from the trip over the coming days. Cheers Alex
For some reason when the scene first presented itself I thought of the Song “Ventura Highway” by America, one of my all-time favourites. The weirdness off and beauty off this son is something I like to capture in my photographs. Please also visit my photoblog . Cheers Alex
Another shot taken down at Shellharbour over the Weekend. The clouds were just amazing around the time of sunset. Cheers Alex
Part of the shoreleine off the Shellharbour Area has these crazt rock formations. Made up of Volcanic Rock and solidified Lava, it is Millions of years old. Time and erosions have left its mark on this Landscape. I was absolutely amazed at the straight lines. There are still more photos in this Series to come.

Taken near Shellharbour, NSW, just sout of Wollongong. I was completely amazed at these naturally occuring lines. I have also seen these down at Coalcliff. I think it has got something to do with the way the lava solidified after it hit the ocean. Maybe someone could shine some more light on this… Please.

I spent a lovely afternoon with my six year old friend Siobhan and her family down at Shellharbour. A short walk from Little Park (across the road from the hotel) around to the left is the fish station (a place to clean and wash fish) which often attracts hungry pelicans who enjoy the offcuts of fish that the fishermen throw to them. Siobhan made friends with the fishermen and was able to throw some fish to the pelicans – which she loved. The sun was quickly setting as we made our way back to the picnic area where we had been eating our thai food takeaway (from Harbourview Thai across the way) and enjoyed the last of a wonderful sunset.
