  • I took this on 6-22-08, when storm clouds came rolling in. However; that being said….the storm never came….only the clouds and thunder. I captured this using my Macro setting, and zooming in to 48x on it. I love that Marco setting!! :o) I just thought this was a beautiful look for the clouds at the time. / Hope you enjoy /

  • This is a Lily in my flower garden, and I walked upon it to take a picture, and there sat this Katydid. What a lovely shot it turned out to be. I was surprised it let me get that close to it. I did use my macro setting as well though…it brought out more of the details. / /

  • I captured this yesterday while I was looking out at the storm clouds. Belle, our Basset, was just resting as pretty as you please, and Baby, our Beagle, was curiously watching a bird. She is too cute because she will bark at the birds like they are going to leave. LOL :o) Belle is 7 & Baby is 3 yrs old.

  • I took this head shot of Kloe, and many of you suggested the background be black. Well thanks to Angel Warda….she changed the background for me! Let me know what you think of it now. Thanks so much! This is one of the photos for her photogenic competition in the National American Miss Texas Finals on July 25-26, 2008! /

  • My aunt’s canisters. I just thought it made for a good black & white picture.

  • This was the sun rise this morning (10-10-08). When Kloe saw it she said, Mom look the clouds are pink. :o) This is the result of what they looked like 10 minutes later.

  • I added text to this and a rain effect. Other than that…it looks exactly as it was taken. Straight from the camera. These clouds were coming up before a rain storm was suppose to hit. Needless to say…it didn’t rain until way later in the night.

  • I couldn’t resist this picture!! This is our Aunt & Uncle’s dog, Harley. He & Rhett, our youngest son, hit it off last year when we were there for Thanksgiving, and this year it’s like they were never apart. It was SO CUTE!! I love that they each have an arm around the other one: /

  • I took this on 1-8-09 at 1:15 am. I woke up with a migraine and needed some air….so I grabbed my camera, and thought…I’ll go walk around outside for a second. Who knows….I may get a good shot of something. LOL :o) Well when I looked up into the dark, black sky….there she was….almost a full moon. Gorgeous in her silence. I used my Macro setting and zoomed in to 48x. Viola….. /

  • I just wanted to work on something original instead of taking a picture of something that signifies love. This piece took me a good hr if not more to complete. I individually placed each word to make the heart!! I was so thrilled with the turn out. I can’t seem to figure out how I got the bubbles to reflect the images in the art that one time, so I finally just gave up and did colored ones. LOL :o) Any hints on how to do this will be greatly appreciated. (best viewed large) Enjoy….. / /

  • Featured in Inspiring Blend group in April 2009. I am so honored!! Thanks!! Featured in For the Love of Jesus group in Nov. 2009. I am so honored!! Thanks!! I must say I didn’t think of this saying “Prayer…the perfect wireless service”, it is on a message sign outside one of the churches on your way into our town, I added the No Connection Fees No Drop Calls. It did get me thinking though for the past week, I have had to see this saying daily, each time I go to town. It gives me chills every time, and makes me feel so at ease, comforted, and just overall joyed! So I thought about making this image for a few days now, and after today…..I knew I had to do it & share it with the world!!! This is me in prayer….saying thank you to GOD, I just set the self timer as I was praying so it would capture a true moment. • I have no idea what type of dog this is, but when I parked at Walmart the other day it was just staring at me from the back of the truck next to me. Too adorable!! He/she is a very big dog, but still adorable!!! I couldn’t resist to snap a photo of him/her. I love the eyes!! This is straight from the camera….AS IS. /

  • Texture used. Ok….I need an honest opinion on this one! This is my first one like this. I layered myself into a peeling paint texture. I am not sure that I like it. I actually copied my eyes from the original photo of me, and pasted them onto the layered photo of me. LOL I just wanted them to stand out better than they were after I layered the texture on. Hope I didn’t ramble on too much. Let me know what you honestly think….but try to be nice. LOL Thanks!!

  • The title was given to me by Patricia Montgomery ...Thanks my friend!! Please check out her work!! I captured these two sparrows eating at our bird feeder. It was very cool, as we watched for the next 30 minutes or so….and the kids & I counted up to about 10 birds at once around the feeder and the tree eating the bird seed we threw out there in the flower bed. It was GREAT!!! To see our children’s excitement….priceless!!

  • I love to watch the horses in our neighbors back pasture. She rehabilitates horses that are not taken care of. They have several of them. I couldn’t resist these shots because they were running, and it looked like they were following the leader.

  • Featured in Older Kids aged 8-16 in April 2009. Thanks I am so honored!! This is the group of teens that I did the prom photo shoot for. The were walking out to the “spot” where were going to be taking pics…and I just had to capture a few shots. I have several candid shots where the boys can’t seem to stay on the railing like they wanted….will post some of them later on. (the girls are 16, and the boys are soon to be 18-graduating next year) The best part is…they are not couples…just really great friends…awesome! Such great, well-rounded teens~our world needs more of them!! • Featured in COUNTRY GARDENS! Come and grow with us! in May 2009! Thanks so much….I am so honored!! I just loved this shot when I saw…so of course..I just had to capture it. :) This is part of a very old wagon, it’s still together but it’s a yard wagon, kind of like a planter. My late great-uncle Johnny made sure that my gma gave it to me since I love to work in the flower gardens. I have been so honored for it to be in my flower garden for these last couple of yrs. Not a one flower has ever grown any where close to it, until this year….I love it!! It’s not alone anymore. :) These are wild flowers that I got out of a canister of wild flower seeds that I sprinkled all around my flower garden about 8 yrs ago. They continue to come back every year! I love it. Thanks for looking! Taken: April 2009

  • This was captured from our back yard. My husband & I watched it evolve it was so cool looking how it would take on all different shapes. This was the biggest that it got. No rain came our way out of it, but I’ll bet whoever received the rain got a bunch. :) This photo is not enhanced in anyway….it came straight from my camera. • Oh my goodness…I just sold a Matte Print of this piece. I am so thankful to whomever bought it. Thanks so much!! I am honored!! I just loved our trip to Hereford, Tx because I could shoot all the pics I wanted out of my window….while hubby drove. :)) Woohoo for me. I loved these oil rigs. Most people wouldn’t think that there is much scenery along the way in this part of Texas, but I loved it. Oil rigs, Wind Turbines, old barns, farmers working in their fields, train after train (the kids loved that part!) etc etc. Loved it!!

  • WOW…this was a challenge indeed! My first attempt at something of this magnitude…I hope it looks ok. I got the cracked, hole in the wall layer from deviant art inside a crack. I then had to cut out the eye they had there, and replace it with one of Kloe’s eyes. I then colored her eye blue instead of her usual color. I just wanted the eye to stand out from the rest. :) Lots of layer, changing in the transperancy of the layers, and then merging together…after getting them all in the right place. Finally….done…. © Sheila Pasket creations 2009 / All rights reserved

  • “The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter.” ~Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV) This is my 11 yr old niece. She was at our house for a visit and we went to our local Museum. The kids loved it, and we shot some pics as well. :) She just started bursting out with laughter because we were talking about the sunflower has sticky stuff coming out where I cut it. LOL She’s a hoot. • I am still searching on the History of the Gordon VFD, so for now this is a little bit of History of Gordon, Texas taken from their website. There is a lot more History to this ‘lil town than I could fit on here. :) One cannot accurately tell the history of Gordon without first mentioning the town of Hampton. Gordon, as it is known today, was initially known as Hampton. The town of Hampton was located was just north of the Old Gordon Cemetery. Early written works put Hampton being settled around the year 1864, however other sources put the town’s establishment closer to the late 1860s. Hampton was a wood structured town that was on the frontier of Indian raids. A post office opened it’s doors in 1879 with Robert H. Rogan appointed as post master. Mr. Rogan and a Mr. Cotney were early town businessmen. Jess Neblet was the first merchant selling groceries and dry goods in town. On the religious front, the First Baptist Church of Hampton was organized 1879 with the Methodist Church following suit a few months later. Just as Hampton was starting to thrive, the Texas and Pacific Rail Road started making it’s way through southern Palo Pinto County. The new railroad was part of largest single expansion of the Texas and Pacific system linking Fort Worth to Sierra Blanca, and it occurred between 1880 -1881. The track did not make it’s way through Hampton proper, but rather about one mile south of town. Town leaders met and decided that it would be best for the community to move closer to the railroad and take advantage of what it had to offer. Town leaders included the likes of Albert Lusk, Ben Foster, Jess Neblet, Jim Moore, John Moore, Tod Wood, Alf Beckham, Jasper Odan, Jeff Cowden, Dock Abels, and Up Self. It was decided that the new town location needed a name of it’s own. The town was named Gordon after a man named H.L. Gordon. He was a director and stockholder of the Texas and Pacific Railroad Company. I can only imagine what she is reflecting on here. :) She’s so ready for the 1st grade. New campus, same friends along with some new ones I’m sure….another piece of her life beginning to unfold.
