Out chasing these clouds looking for a suitable foreground subject. This is what I came up with. This one took quite a bit of touch up work due to the blur of the sheep from the multiple exposure.

The Farm is a scenic view of one of the many farms on the rural outskirts of Canberra. Behind the scenes / Often, images are born of hard work, careful planning and a lot of patience. Sometimes though, a wonderful scene will appear by chance. It was late in the day when a storm front came over forming some striking cloud formations over the pale brown landscape. Caught ‘up the sware’ (a local viewpoint) at dawn yesterday ( 23/9/08) as the sun rose over the tweed valley just outside Peebles, scottish borders. An especially heartwarming sight after the wet grey summer we’ve had … and it’s straight from my Nikon 4800 coolpix compact camera, untouched. ;))) See also mist in the valley taken at the same time ! and also front row seat cheers all / ding / :))

I have a collage I did of a sheep years ago which has wings, that is where this came from. And I believe there may have been a very old Monty Python routine about a sheep that wanted to fly.
