Taken in Yarck, country Victoria.
Just one image from a series taken in the origonal shearing shed for a very large propery, wooden railing throughout and a host of other origonal features – Quite something to see.
Wine barrels at Sevenhill Winery, Clare, South Australia
An old place a found just outside of Healesville yesterday which reminds me of an old Tom Waits song.
This is where my university is located. It’s built into the old tram sheds at Inveresk, Tasmania. Great place to find inspiration.
One of my very first watercolor paintings, done in a college watercolor course several decades ago, this painting was awarded an “honorable mention” in a Milwaukee Journal Art Awards Program. I am adding it now primarily to support the new group, Dilapidated Buildings, a subject which has always intrigued and inspired me. The inspiration for this painting was an old shed that once existed somewhere near Monroe, Wisconsin, in Green County.
location: Jerseyville, NSW This area of NSW is dotted with dilapidated old sheds such as this one. They have served their purpose and stand simply as relics of a bygone time.
Old run down slat walled building on the outskirts of Mannum South Australia. A stunning piece of history left to decay in the weather. Canon 400D – 18 – 55 with Polarising filter – converted in B&W in Photoshop CS3.

I have been a little pressed for time lately, you might have noticed my general absence here on the bubble. Today however I just decided to “create” some time in order to be able to give my “art” some more much needed attention. So, I’m able to show you the latest instalment in my Nostalgia series, as usually shot with my Pentax K10D and one of my old Pentax lenses using my painted with light technique more work / the calendar /
I found this in the backyard of a friend’s home. Pentax K20D Camera. An HDR image processed in Dynamic Photo HDR. My Bubblesite showcases images in their categories.

Small jetty and boat-shed at Nelson on the Glenelg river in Victoria South Australia. Property of the ‘River Vu’ caravan park. Pastel on Canson Mi Teintes paper (brown) – 70cm x 50cm / (565 views 20/12/09) I spent a most enjoyable afternoon in a local shed sitting on a wool bale scribbling onto a sketch pad and taking some reference photos and this was what I came up with. The Men at Work are Pete and Garry. Pete (the fella with the broom) is my husband. It was quite a few years ago, (in the days when they both still had quite a bit of hair on their heads)!!!!! As I chased around dragonflies near our ponds, this little garter snake surprised me, hanging about in the lily leaves. As we approach the Autumnal Equinox on Tuesday, the snake reminded me of the healing power of the West/Fall manifesting through shedding its skin. A snake does not remove one skin, then vulnerably search out another. The new, pure skin grows beneath the old. What is released is outgrown and useless. If it were not released, it would impair the healthy functioning of the new skin. / The future offers the opportunity for purity and healing through the shedding of skin, as long as you don’t let your new skin grow back to resemble the old… I have been working on the newest installment of Mind Soundtracks for EarthMonster Illustrated and harvesting a bounty of heARTworks found here on RB from my colleagues and the subject matter is along these same lines of releasing the old for new and better change. Hope you check it out for October release and even better, maybe join the group here too – EMI Waiting on the world to change John Mayer
