The two parts of what makes up ‘Team orange’ Satsuma’s colored hair bits are suppose to be light orange, but turned pink when I scanned it… At least her hair stayed brown, this time. Scanners are frustrating… It’s also the first time I’ve drawn Etsuya, the one on the right with glasses. These characters are strangely fun to draw…

I was drawing… and I had all my sharpies lined up. So I took pictures, just goofing off. Laid out on printer paper with lighting from a lamp. I just kinda liked how it turned out.

Watercolour, sharpie marker, Watercolour pencils. Natural fibre collage elements and a coating of gel medium on cartridge paper. This was a piece I just played with until it delclared itself finished with the addition of some collage along the top of the work. The gel medium made it difficult to scan and photograph as it is very shiny. the original also has brush strokes in the gel medium which resemble crosshatching. I had fun with this anyway. Quickly sketched this one up whilst partaking in some ‘sacramental greens’ at a friend’s house, recently. The name came to me after I’d finished the ‘hare’ and seen where the ‘tortoise’ was just begging to be drawn. The way I see it, it’s still anybody’s race. Graphite & Sharpie Marker on a small piece of white sketch paper.
