  • FUSIONARTPHOTOGRAPHY This photograph is about my return to Melbourne after eight exciting and event filled years living in Japan and China . Regular trips home to see family and friends had not really prepared me for that emotional roller coaster ride that many experience after the conclusion of an overseas assignment. / Initially, when living in countries where the language is foreign ,one delves deep inside oneself and adjusts by becoming more observant to compensate. The experience is beyond description. / Upon returning home ones’ city has become a mystery. Eye contact/ a smile meant so very much in the re-adjustment period as after such a long period away ,one really belongs nowhere and maybe the heart will always now remain in 3 places and so we have “Mysterious Melbourne” / “ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” / Essence of Ancient Wisdom/Form Asia

  • So much can and should be said about women. Every woman in the world must make a difference. We must continue to educate ourselves/everyday we must set a new challenge. Women are the backbone of the family/we also have a right to an education/a right to dignity. I have always struggled with the wonder of how women juggle their busy lives and not sure what the answer is. We will always be responsible for bringing children into the world/be always concerned but even with babe in arms and out of the work force /whatever age/we have an important role to play/we are an integral cog in the wheel/we must continue to make a difference…...read ….read/educate online/involve ourselves in community/council/politics/ business. Gaining knowledge is like climbing Fuji san….....start out with nothing but hopes and dreams in your heart /half way up the mountain you will look back and think how did I ever do this/but every step of learning is a mind growing more powerful. Then the responsiblity is to use this power/knowledge gained in a way to benefit our world. Nothing is impossible and everything possible if we work together. When I create I have no one in mind particularly so please do not take offence. It is just that everywhere I go I meet amazing women and always my mind is filled with questions. /

  • The China Dilemma! The migrant workers have a dilemma. Whilst they travel sometimes from one side of the country to the other to find work/ their children are left to be cared by a mother /father or maybe grandparents. What happens to their children whilst they are trying to improve their conditions? In China there are thousands of children who are homeless or wandering the streets. The Chinese government is very aware of this problem/very concerned. The FAMILY unit is China’s great TREASURE! These images were taken in Shanghai and Nanjing The painted background is very symbolic. The chinese will paint and write a phone number on a wall to tell others they need work so I photographed hundreds of these as found this very interesting! / China have the one child policy /hence one child in the image. There are situations where you may pay the government ….....or a situation such as an earthquake…...........and you are allowed the freedom to have another child! • Youth,Beautiful Youth!
    by shanghaiwu

Is it possible that graffiti will be heritage listed! Maybe this should be called pissing on the taxpayers of Australia I wander through cascades of time. / Etched around me, the wrath of youth.

  • As an adult /a parent I must respect the fagility of the developing child/the pubescent youth. This child photographed above could look wonderfully innocent and beautiful without clothes /her stance not suggestive but she has a choice/her parents have a choice and responsibility and I also a responsibility. But then this is a changing world where /maybe anything is acceptable…... It is all in the body language. Without clothes and hands on hips/maybe hand across her chest or the lower part of her body….......making certain suggestions/maybe facing me….....then I have changed all the innocence/ I have manipulated it/the image/the child/for what have I gained….......ah yes/the notoriety/the world news scene/ah yes/ my personal gain. All photographers have this power/this ability. I do not own her/she is on loan to me ….....to guide her along the path of life until she is ready to make her own decisions. Have listened to many other debates on this topic over the last days and the conclusion is that the art community is DIVIDED. One thing I am sure about ….......in the future his work will be worth megabucks whatever my thoughts. My Signature! /

  • ANDREA BOCELLI in CONCERT in MELBOURNE last night! I closed my eyes and let the music travel through my mind and tried to image the colours that must vibrate his very soul. The Music of Silence:A Memoir After the event I checked wikipedia as I wished to discover more about this amazing man with the looks and the VOICE .To me it is just as important to discover WHY someone does as he or she does and discovered he has written a book.At this stage I have only read the publisher’s notes. The Music of Silence:A Memoir / / Bocelli talks as never before about his blindness, his early life, the importance of his family, stage fright, and the pressures of international stardom.Andrea Bocelli cannot remember a time when he was not passionate about music. Born among the vineyards and olive groves of Tuscany, Bocelli was only a few months old when his beautiful blue eyes began to fail due to glaucoma. “He suffered much, and it was difficult to calm him,” his mother, Edi, explains. It was the music filtering into his room that would soothe the unsettled child. She says, “It seemed to be the reason for Andrea’s tranquillity. I was happy because I had discovered something that gave him some relief from his pain.”Bocelli’s parents nurtured and encouraged his love of music. His passion for opera was also apparent, and he participated in local talent contests and won several prizes. At the age of twelve, however, Bocelli was completely blinded during a soccer game. Undeterred, he continued to sing, learning to read special Braille sheets and musical scores. It was only after he earned his law degree that he was inspired to attempt to join the ranks of the great tenors. Bocelli’s persistence and devotion paid off during an audition in 1992 when he stunned Pavarotti with the seemingly effortless way he captured the essence of the song “Miserere.” It was this performance that fueled Bocelli’s rise from piano-bar performer to the phenomenal international success we all adore today. Publisher:HarperEntertainment In 2002 it was estimated there were 161 million visually impaired people in the world, of whom 124 million had low vision and 37 million were blind..refer to wikipedia for more information / / / / Hey, did I say / I don’t mind If you want to go home / Take me there / No ….you don’t have to travel alone / Through the night across the sea / Going back in time / here for you now / Were you waiting for… me / Hey …..did I say that I smiled when I first heard you name…......

  • The Migrant Workers of China. I want the world to know about Liangshuo and his migrant workers. This famous young chinese artist created the Migrant Workers of China for the Shanghai Biennalle/2000/”Shanghai Spirit”. These inspiring figures are situated in the grounds of the Shanghai Art Museum. There are millions of migrant workers in China. They are the courageous men and women building the new world. They leave their families and head to the cities with hopes and dreams/fears/purpose in their hearts and minds. They want to create a better life for themselves and their families and so their dreams are intertwined with ours. /
