this photo was taken during a trip up Roys’ Road to help our friend Shane on his way to the next life, we had five beautiful days up there, many friends dropped through, it was basicly the last time Shane could be really active and whatever Gods he believed in put on the most glorious set of sunrises , it was a privilege to be there with him, his spirit stays with us forever, so this is just a part of his spirit….....be free Shane.,......one day we shall meet again mate…...........ciao….........

Was someone looking for a pic of some cows….would bullocks do? Two good neighbours from when I had the farm. They seemed very curious about my goats. LOL When I took the shot they were looking at my goats. I think Wayne was saying ” ‘ere.. what are they then”. / Shane replied ” Like whatever yeah”.

right next to the passage….....the government came thru a few months later and took down the huts and the jetty….....the van had to go as well…......the people used to look after the area pretty well….but big bro would not let them stay…......but it was good while it lasted…....

anyone who has seen my photo series about my mate Shane who unfortunately left us in September 2006, will know something of the journey but, I just thought I would pass on what happened the morning he left us….........I was up early as usual, been for a walk, papers, coffee, sitting down the back near the creek, the magpies sitting around me as they usually did, singing their cheery and beautiful songs, talking away. I was reading and sipping on the coffee when I had this overpowering urge that something had happened to Shane …....I still can’t really explain it, but I looked at my mobile phone and it said 6.45 am, I sat there wondering about all of this and what to do, in the end, I thought that it was too early to ring his household and decided to wait until later and check things out. I sat there finished my coffee and read for awhile, then my mobile rang, it was a mate of mine, Keith, he informed me that Shane had passed away that morning, I was feeling really weird about this, although we all knew that it was coming any time. I asked Keith about what happened and he then told me Shane went at 6.45 am and that would be the official time of death…......I don’t know what people believe in or what they want to make of things…....but this is as it happened….........to go with this, at an earlier stage, when we thought he was going to die one weekend only to recover, a few days after that, he called me into his room and told me that he had seen my father and passed a message on from him to me…....it was an amazing moment in my life…...I take his word for it, that this happened ….......I never disbelieve anything nor do I believe easily, but this makes me think a lot…........ciao
